In some implementations, a first device may receive, from a second device, network function (NF) configuration information indicating that an NF instance is to be provisioned to support a combination of network slices. The NF configuration information may include first network slice information regarding the first network slice and second network slice information regarding the second network slice. The first device may obtain, from a data structure, first slice configuration information associated with the NF instance supporting the first network slice and second slice configuration information associated with the NF instance supporting the second network slice. The first device may generate configuration parameters to provision the NF instance to support the combination of network slices and provide the configuration parameters to cause the NF instance to be provisioned to support the combination of network slices.

Systems and methods for automating network slice configuration

A system may provide for the design and/or modification of network slices associated with a wireless network. The wireless network may include different slices that are associated different sets of service parameters. Slices may include radio access networks ('RANs'), core networks, or other types of networks, which may include respective sets of network functions (“NFs”), which may perform specific functions with respect to a given RAN and/or core network. Different slices, RANs, core networks, and/or NFs may be associated with particular policies and/or tags which may be specified by one or more users associated with a first access level. One or more users associated with a second access level may configure portions of the wireless network, and the policies and/or tags associated with particular slices, RANs, core networks, or NFs may be automatically implemented by an orchestration system that configures the wireless network based on the provided configuration information.

Systems and methods for tiered network slice design and management in a wireless network

A system may include one or more devices that with processors. The processors are configured to: receive instructions to assemble a slice service design for a network using slice design components; store the slice service design; and receive a request to deploy a slice service specified by the slice service design. The processors may be configured to: deploy the slice service in subnets of the network; or deploy services defined by portions of the slice service design in some of the subnets of the network.

Systems and methods for designing network slices using extensible components

A system includes one or more devices that include processors. The processors are configured to: receive a request to deploy a network slice within a network, retrieve network service descriptors, from a database, associated with the network slice; and instantiate the network slice within the network based on the network service descriptors.

Systems and methods for zero-touch deployment of network slices and network slice assurance services

A device may include a processor configured to receive a request to admit a network slice, associated with at least one requirement, in a wireless communication network. The processor may be further configured to determine a resources, associated with the wireless communication network, needed to implement the network slice; compute an estimated resource load for the network slice; compute a projected resource load for the determined resources; and determine that the resources have sufficient capacity to meet the at least one requirement associated with the network slice based on the computed estimated resource load and the projected resource load for the resources. The processor may admit the network slice to be deployed in the wireless communication network, in response to determining that the resources have sufficient capacity to meet the at least one requirement associated with the network slice.

Systems and methods to automate slice admission control

Systems and methods described herein enable a slice orchestration platform to provide flexibility for network function (NF)-type specific configuration generation workflow without sacrificing automation of design and deployment. According to one implementation, a network device stores workflows for Configuration Information Questionnaire (CIQ) automation; receives a vendor network function (NF) package; obtains site information for an instance of the vendor NF; generates site-specific artifacts for the NF package based on the workflows and the site information; and associates the site-specific artifacts with a configuration design for the NF package.
