A patient table for a computed tomography (CT) imaging system is provided. The patient table includes a base. The patient table also includes a floating cradle configured to support a subject to be imaged and to move bi-directionally relative to the base. The patient table further includes a fixed structure coupled to the base. The patient table further includes a plurality of rollers mounted to the fixed structure. The plurality of rollers is configured both to guide and to support the floating cradle. The floating cradle is configured to guide itself when extend beyond the fixed structure.

Various systems are provided for an adjustable tilting head holder. In one example, a system comprises an adjustable tilting head holder for use with an imaging system the adjustable head holder comprising a table attachment coupled to a first half of a hinge via a first extension arm and the adjustable head holder coupled to a second half of the hinge, and tilt adjustment bar comprising a first rod adjacent to a lever on a first end of the tilt adjustment bar, the first rod configured to engage with a ratchet system of a tilt adjustment mechanism, the tilt adjustment bar further comprising a second rod at a second end of the tilt adjustment bar that is engaged with a joint of a second extension of the table attachment, wherein the second rod is configured to pivot within the joint.

Methods and systems for an adjustable head holder

A pre-patient collimator for a CT imaging system is provided. The pre-patient collimator includes a collimator housing including a plurality of walls, wherein the plurality of walls includes a first wall configured to face an X-ray source when the pre-patient collimator is coupled to the CT imaging system and a second wall and a third wall flanking the first wall. The pre-patient collimator also includes a bowtie filter assembly disposed within the collimator housing and including a bowtie filter. The pre-patient collimator further includes an adjustment mechanism configured to move the bowtie filter assembly in a lateral direction between the second wall and the third wall within the collimator housing.

A pre-patient collimator for a CT imaging system is provided. The pre-patient collimator includes an additively manufactured housing having a plurality of walls having a variable thickness along each wall of the plurality of walls. The pre-patient collimator also includes an additively manufactured aperture carrier plate having variable thickness and a plurality of apertures configured to determine a size of an X-ray beam received from an X-ray source of the CT imaging system.

Various systems are provided for an adjustable tilting head holder. In one example, a system comprises an adjustable tilting head holder for use with an imaging system the adjustable head holder comprising a head cradle, a tilt adjustment mechanism with a plurality of locking positions arranged below a first end of the head cradle, a table mount extending from a second end of the head cradle, and a tilt adjustment bar that extends from the table mount through the tilt adjustment mechanism, wherein the first end and the second end of the head cradle are located at opposite ends of the head cradle.

A computed tomography (CT) gantry including a rotary base may be provided, having two faces opposite each other along a rotation axis of the rotary base. One of the two faces is to support each of a plurality of rotary computed tomography components. The plurality of rotary computed tomography components is to perform computed tomography imaging on a user.
