A first non-access point (AP) MLD comprises first stations (STAs), each comprising a transceiver configured to form a link with a corresponding AP of an AP MLD, and a processor. Two of the links form an NSTR link pair. The processor is configured to generate a first message identifying a first NSTR link for establishment of a P2P direct link with a peer STA. The transceiver corresponding to one of the NSTR links is configured to transmit the first message to the AP MLD. The transceiver corresponding to a second NSTR link is configured to wait a predetermined period of time after the first message is transmitted before performing uplink (UL) transmissions to the AP MLD.

Method and apparatus for enhanced multi-link multi radio (EMLMR) operation

At least a subset of the links are EMLSR links. TWT schedules are established for communications on at least two of the EMLSR links, each having a TWT service period (SP). The processor is configured to determine whether there is an overlap between a first of the TWT SPs that corresponds to a first of the EMLSR links and other TWT SPs that correspond to other EMLSR links, based on the overlap existing, prioritize the first EMLSR link based on criteria related to each of the TWT schedules, and initiate a frame exchange on the prioritized EMLSR link.

Method and apparatus for enabling EMLSR operation with TWT over multiple links

A method for real-time THz sensing using true time delay (TTD) is implemented by a base station and includes transmitting, by a transceiver that includes TDD elements and phase shifters configured in the transceiver, simultaneous frequency dependent (SFD) beams to scan an environment at a first granularity to detect a spatial cluster target. Each of the SFD beams corresponds to a different phase angle and different frequency. The method includes determining, among the SFD beams, a subset of beams that detected the spatial cluster target. The method includes beam switching, by the transceiver, using time division multiplexing (TDM) and a TDM bandwidth to scan a portion of the environment at phase angles corresponding to the subset of beams and at a second granularity finer than the first granularity. The method includes combining data received from the SFD beams, by multiple threads that concurrently process data received from the SFD beams.

In an enhanced multi-link multi-radio (EMLMR) mode, a non-AP MLD may sequentially transmit one or more TDLS discovery request frames to an AP MLD to discover a TDLS peer STA via different EMLMR links. The non-AP MLD further comprises a processor configured to determine, based on the channel sounding signal received at a first time over a first one of the links, an initial channel quality indicator (CQI) value for the first link, and determine, based on interference caused on the first link by a second one of the links at a second time, a CQI offset value for the first link relative to the initial CQI value. The transceivers are configured to transmit, to the AP MLD, the initial CQI value and the CQI offset value.

CQI enhancement for multi-link operation

A method includes obtaining Wi-Fi channel state information (CSI) parameters measured at an anchor and a target device from Wi-Fi frames transmitted between the anchor and the target device, the CSI parameters comprising, for each of the anchor and the target device, frame transmission and reception times, a carrier phase of the CSI, a crystal offset factor, and a packet detection time error. The method also includes determining a round trip time (RTT) estimate or a relative change in the RTT estimate as a function of the CSI parameters. The method further includes estimating a range between the anchor and the target device as a function of the RTT estimate, or estimating a change in the range between the anchor and the target device as a function of the relative change in the RTT estimate.

Methods and apparatuses for uplink (UL) coverage enhancements with joint phase-time arrays (JPTAs). A method for operating a base station (BS) includes identifying criteria associated with a set of user equipments (UEs) in a cell of the BS and determining, based on the criteria, a first subset of the set of UEs to use a JPTA beamforming. The method further includes using the JPTA beamforming for signaling with the first subset of UEs and using an analog beamforming for signaling with a second subset of UEs in the set of UEs.
