The disclosed technology relates to determining a period in which a network is busier relative to other periods. The method may comprise analyzing network utilization data from a network segment of the network. The network utilization data may be collected over a first duration. The method may further comprise of determining, from the network utilization data, a baseline network utilization. The baseline network utilization may be a persistent quantification of network utilization present throughout the first duration. The method may further comprise identifying at least a reoccurring period that is characterized by network utilization data indicating consecutive network utilization that is above the baseline network utilizations; and configuring a network controller to designate the at least the reoccurring period as a busy period.

Identification of busy periods for network segments

Various embodiments herein disclose coordinating neighbor discovery between access points (APs) with auxiliary radios and APs without auxiliary radios. A corresponding wireless controller comprises a processor and a memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the controller to perform operations. The operations comprise grouping APs into a first group of more flexible APs and a second group of less flexible APs and querying the second group of APs for a corresponding broadcast interval. The operations further comprise identifying when the second group of APs is scheduled to broadcast parameters, and a broadcast interval for each of the second group of APs and generating a schedule based on the scheduled broadcast and the broadcast interval for each of the second group of APs. The operations additionally comprise providing the generated schedule to the first group of APs and the second group of APs.

Automated neighbor discovery techniques for hybrid environments

Seamless client roaming for Multi-Link Device (MLD) clients may be provided. First, a Traffic Identifier (TID)-to-link map may be established by an Upper Service Access Point (U-SAP) of a multi-AP MLD entity that assigns subsets of TIDs to at least two links of the entity. For example, a client device logically associates with the U-SAP, while the client device physically connects to a first and second AP of the entity on a respective first and second link, where the first and second AP include first and second Lower Service Access Points (L-SAPs) and are non-collocated. Next, using the map, data received at the U-SAP is directed over one of the two links for transmission to the client device. Further, frame aggregation and block acknowledgment functions may be performed by one of the first or second L-SAP based on whether data transmission is over the first or second link.

Multi-link operation with localized performance of B-ACK functions

Dynamically configuring wireless access points (APs) in wireless local area networks (WLANs). Dynamically determines an AP configuration of cell size and frequency sub-bands of deployed dual-radio WLAN APs for improved network performance. In a first AP configuration, a first AP radio increases the power level of a micro cell while a second AP radio decreases the power level of a macro cell to provide a higher quality of service for the clients connected to the first and second co-located, same-band AP radios. If the increased power of the micro cell causes too much interference between the co-located, same-band AP radios, then a second AP configuration is dynamically applied to lock each AP radio on a different, non-overlapping frequency band, thus minimizing interference between the AP radios and improving network performance.

Systems and methods for dynamically configuring wireless access points for a wireless local area network

This disclosure describes techniques for using an anchored endpoint to enhance MFA authentication of a client device. A method performed at least in part by a security service includes authenticating of a client device connecting to a secure resource. The method also includes determining a first Wi-Fi fingerprint of the client device, determining that the client device is within a threshold proximity to an anchor device, and determining a second Wi-Fi fingerprint of the anchor device. The method also includes detecting a change to the first Wi-Fi fingerprint of the client device and determining that the second Wi-Fi fingerprint of the anchor device has not changed. The method also includes determining whether the client device is within the threshold proximity of the anchor device, if it is, access to the secured resource continues to be allowed, if it is not, a reauthentication of the client device is triggered.

Dynamic channel assignment for 6 GHz radios may be provided. Whether an access point in a network is classified as low power indoor only (LPI only), standard power optional (SP optional), or standard power mandatory (SP mandatory) is determined. If the number of SP optional and SP mandatory access points is more than a determined proportion of the total number of access points, for SP optional and SP mandatory access points, channels having a frequency below a determined power spectral frequency are cut off.

Dynamic spectrum access mode based on station capabilities is provided by categorizing functionalities of Access Points (APs) and stations (STA) in a wireless network; identifying interference induced by external signaling devices on channels in the wireless network; calculating an impact factor of the interference based on proximity of the external signaling devices to the wireless network, a pattern of the external signaling devices, and an extent of overlap with frequencies used by the external signaling devices and the wireless network; and in response to identifying a given STA that is paired with a given AP in the wireless network, wherein the given STA and the given AP are both categorized as being capable of both multilink communications and preamble puncturing, assigning network resources for the given STA to communicate with the given AP via one of multilink communications or preamble puncturing based on the impact factor of the interference.

In one embodiment, a device may obtain sensor measurements from an environmental sensor of an access point. The device may obtain traffic telemetry data regarding network traffic handled by the access point. The device may generate, based on the sensor measurements and the traffic telemetry data, a sampling configuration of the environmental sensor of the access point. The device may cause the access point to collect additional sensor measurements from its environmental sensor according to the sampling configuration.

If the composite RF density score is above a determined level, the access point that supports frequencies below a threshold level and that have an effective isotropic radiated power (EiRP) above a determined level are determined as a seed candidate. At least one of the seed candidates is determined as a seed access point.

Closed loop transmit power control

Optimal determination of wireless network pathway configurations may be provided. A computing device may detect, at a first network Access Point (AP), inference on a channel with a second AP. Then, the computing device can check availability of a redundant radio at the second AP. Based on the availability, the computing device can establish a new radio link with the redundant radio at the second AP and reroute data traffic over the new radio link to the second AP. After establishing the new radio link, the computing device can then sever the channel with the second AP.

One or more neighbor APs that failed ranging with the host AP may be categorized in a failed neighbor AP list. The consortium generates a radio resource management ('RRM') plan for shared use of the licensed, shared, and unlicensed spectrum resources. The consortium combines the allocated licensed, shared, and unlicensed spectrum from each of the wireless network operators to meet the target RRM plan. The consortium monitors spectrum utilization to dynamically update the RRM. The consortium monitors spectrum utilization in real time to determine how closely the RRM plan matches the resources allocated to each wireless network operator.

Dynamic configuration of Overlapping Basic Set Service Preamble Detect (OBSS/PD) parameters for an Access Point (AP) may be provided. First, a plurality of stations within a Spatial Reuse (SR) range of the AP may be determined.
