A pump assembly for use within a high pressure pumping system includes housing, a head and a base. The housing contains at least one centrifugal pump stage. The head and base are attached to the housing with corresponding internal threaded connections. The head and base are further retained to the housing with corresponding external flanged connections. The external flanged connections provide redundant connections that reduce the risk of separation between the housing and the head and base.

Multi-stage high pressure flanged pump assembly

A multistage centrifugal pump includes a housing, a rotatable shaft and first and second turbomachinery stages. The first turbomachinery stage includes a first diffuser connected to the housing, a first impeller connected to the rotatable shaft. The second turbomachinery stage includes a second diffuser connected to the housing and a second impeller connected to the rotatable shaft. The multistage centrifugal pump further includes an integral axial load and bearing system that includes at least one diffuser bushing and at least one impeller bearing. The integral axial load and bearing system permits the independent axial movement of the first and second impellers. The integral axial load and bearing system also provides an opposite force to up-thrust and down-thrust produced by the first and second turbomachinery stages.

Multistage centrifugal pump with integral abrasion-resistant axial thrust bearings

A horizontal pumping system has a motor, a suction chamber and a pump driven by the motor. The pump includes a primary stage assembly and a low NPSH stage assembly connected between the primary stage assembly and the suction chamber. The low NPSH stage assembly is external to the primary stage assembly. The low NPSH stage assembly includes a diffuser connected to the pump housing and a low NPSH impeller contained within the diffuser. The diameter of the low NPSH stage assembly is optionally larger than the diameter of the primary stage assembly.

A submersible pumping assembly for a deviated wellbore is disclosed. The pump assembly including one or more electric submersible pumps disposed in a casing. The casing being disposed in a below ground deviated wellbore. The assembly including one or more electric motors disposed in the casing and configured to operate the one or more electric submersible pumps. The assembly further including one or more flexible joints. The one or more flexible joints are configured to linearly couple the one or more electric submersible pumps and the one or more electric motors and impart flexibility to the assembly in the deviated wellbore. Also provided is a submersible assembly for pumping a fluid.

Flexible electrical submersible pump and pump assembly

A centrifugal pump has a gas accumulation reduction system to reduce the risk of gas locking caused by the accumulation of gas at the inlet of the impeller. The gas accumulation reduction system includes: (i) one or more diffuser ports extending through the hub of a diffuser; and (ii) one or more recirculation passages extending through the hub of an impeller. The recirculation passages are in fluid communication with the one or more diffuser ports to permit the recirculation of a portion of pumped fluid through the stage. Additionally, a centrifugal pump that includes at least one turbomachinery stage. The stage includes a rotatable impeller that has an impeller hub with a centrally disposed eye and a plurality of impeller vanes. The impeller is variously configured to encourage mixing of two-phase fluids at the eye of the impeller hub.

Multiphase pumping system

A pump for pumping a multiphase fluid includes a housing and a rotor with an outer surface. A plurality of inducer vanes are attached to the rotor hub, each having a leading edge and a trailing edge where the leading edge of one inducer vane overlaps the trailing edge of an adjacent inducer vane by a first overlap angle. A plurality of impeller vanes are also attached to the hub. The impeller vanes each have a leading edge and a trailing edge where the leading edge of one impeller vane overlaps the trailing edge of an adjacent impeller vane by a second overlap angle larger than the first overlap angle. The pump includes a rotor flow channel extending between the hub outer surface and the housing inner surface. The rotor flow channel has an inlet area and an outlet area, whereby the outlet area is smaller than the inlet area.
