Systems and methods are provided for effectuating a self-installation application that may be utilized by end users of 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) devices, installation professionals, etc. to optimally locate and position/orient a 5G FWA device relative to an installation environment. Various guidance can be provided to a user depending on the user's level of experience or familiarity with installation of such devices. Calculations can be executed to determine performance of a 5G FWA device depending on its location/position/orientation relative to elements or structures or obstructions that may impact its ability to effectively connect to/obtain service from a serving cell or network infrastructure.

5G FWA device self-installation application

A cellular modem interface device may comprise a cellular module. The cellular module may comprise wireless communication circuitry. The cellular modem interface device may further comprise a first connector module. The first connector module may comprise a first plurality of connectors associated with a first plurality of interfaces, wherein the first plurality of connectors includes at least one connector for a power supply and at least one interface of the first plurality of interfaces is associated with slow data speeds. The cellular modem interface device may further comprise a second connector module. The second connector module may comprise a second plurality of connectors associated with a second plurality of interfaces, wherein at least one interface of the second plurality of interfaces is associated with fast data speeds.

Cellular modem interfaces for modularization

A modular fixed wireless access (FWA) radio dock system is provided that allows docking of a single radio module that can be installed in multiple, different locations by connecting to any one of a plurality of docks and/or communication accessories. The radio module can be paired with different types/configurations of docking stations that include various connectivity ports that provide connectivity to a local network, a wired/wireless router, or other networking equipment. The docking stations can comprise both indoor and outdoor docking stations usable with the same radio module, and may include heat sink assemblies and/or fans that work in conjunction with heat sink assemblies of the radio module, as well as effectuate environmental sealing.

Modular 5G fixed wireless access device

A 5G wireless access point, includes: an outdoor unit comprising a 5G modem and a wireless power receive unit, and configured to be affixed to an exterior surface of a building component of a building; an indoor unit comprising a wireless power transmit unit and configured to be affixed to an interior surface of the building component at a location opposite the outdoor unit on an interior surface of the building component; and a Wi-Fi router communicatively coupled to the 5G modem and configured to transmit or receive information wirelessly with a device within the building. The wireless power transmit unit of the indoor unit may provide power to operate the outdoor unit via a wireless link between the wireless power transmit unit and the wireless power receive unit.
