A pocket computer is presented having an apparatus housing and a user interface with a touch-sensitive display provided at a first side surface of said apparatus housing, at least one key for navigation among content shown on said display, and at least one key for performing zooming on content shown on said display. Various methods of operating this user interface are also presented.

Pocket computer and associated methods

A system and method for viewing material displayed on an electronic device. When a user desires to view a document, only a portion of which is viewable on a display at a given moment, the portion is displayed on the display as a primary image. A secondary image is then generated, with the secondary image including the portion and additional material of the document not part of the primary image. The secondary image is superimposed over the primary image on the display when a user scrolls through the document such that both the secondary image and the primary image are visible to the user.

System and method for viewing digital visual content on a device

A mobile communication device is adapted to identify a task for postponed transfer to a computing device over a local communication link. A similar transfer task function is established on the computing device for receiving the identified task and any required related data. The user is provided with the ability to initiate a task on the mobile communication device and continue or complete the task on a computer.

Transferring task completion to another device

A method for shortening a web page title. The method includes determining if a title of a current web page fits in a title display area of a display. If the title fits the title is displayed in the title area. If the title does not fit, it is determined if the title of the current web page starts with a same word as a title of a previous page. If the title of the current web page starts with the same word, at least one word is removed from a beginning portion of the title of the current page that is in common with the title of the previous page, until the title of the current page fits in the title display area, or there are no more common words in the beginning of the title. End words or letters or end words can be removed until the title fits. Missing words may be indicated by adding a predetermined indicator in the area of the missing or removed words.

This invention relates to a method, a computer program product, a device and a system for formatting an object to obtain a formatted object, wherein the object comprises a plurality of elements, and wherein the formatted object is affected by at least one constraint, wherein the constraint is scaled by a first scaling factor to obtain a scaled constraint; wherein at least one of the elements is scaled by a second scaling factor to obtain a scaled element; wherein a layout structure is generated for the plurality of elements including the scaled element under consideration of the scaled constraint; and wherein the layout structure is scaled by a third scaling factor to obtain the formatted object.
