The present invention relates to cured coatings comprising: at least one filler, a polyalkoxysilane matrix, and at least one cured aminosilane in an amount between 5.5 to 40.0 wt % of the total weight of the cured coating. These cured coatings can be used in optics or electronics, and in devices such as lamps.

Cured coating for use in optics or electronics

A light-emitting device is provided, comprising at least one light-emitting diode () for emitting light of a first color and a luminescent material () arranged on said at least one light-emitting diode to receive at least part of the light emitted by said light-emitting diode. The light-emitting device further comprises a filter () arranged to receive light emitted by said light-emitting diode () and transmitted through said luminescent material () and to absorb light of said first color. The filter comprises a pigment compound distributed in a matrix of silicon and oxygen atoms, in which matrix at least a portion of said silicon atoms are directly bonded to hydrocarbon groups.

Color-stable phosphor converted LED

Proposed is a lighting device (), comprising LEDs () mounted on a transparent substrate (), provided with a transparent electrically conductive layer () and a contact pad (). The contact pad has a second part (), extending away from a first part (), for further reducing the current density in the conductive layer (). This is advantageous for making the lighting device robust to large power dissipation, especially under high current testing conditions. Moreover, as the voltage drop over transparent conductive layer is reduced, the efficiency of the lighting device is increased.

Lighting device of LEDs on a transparent substrate

The present invention relates to a light-transmitting substrate () which is at least provided with a light-absorbing coating (). The light-absorbing coating comprises stabilized pigments which are incorporated in a sol-gel matrix. The light absorbing coating comprises silica particles having a size between 5 and 100 nanometers and alumina particles having a size between 5 and 50 nanometers. The total volume concentration of pigments, silica and alumina particles in the light-absorbing coating is between 20 and 65 percent. The volume concentration of silica particles is between 5 and 40 percent and the volume concentration of alumina particles between 1 and 15 percent.
