Briefly, according to the invention, a clip assembly 10 comprises a clip 1 and a bracket 6, each having at least one hole (4, 5, 11, and 12) for alignment with each other. Alignment of the holes is required so that a pin 13 positioned through the holes pivotally secures the bracket 6 to the clip 1. The pin has a head 15 with a diameter that is greater than at least one of the holes. The pin 13 with the head 15 is passed through the holes for retaining the clip assembly 10. In the preferred embodiment, a spring 17 is used for biasing the clip 1 towards the bracket 6.

Clip assembly

A header for an electronic circuit includes two complementary portions. The electronic circuit is a flexible circuit with leads on opposite side edges. The opposite side leads are received by the header portions and fixed in place as by epoxy. The two header portions are then snapped together to form the header. One of the header portions includes tongues which are received in slots of the other header portions for maintaining alignment of the two portions. Clips are provided on each of the header portions for interconnecting with complementary clips of the other header portion.

Header for an electronic circuit

An electrical interconnect pin, particularly suitable for attachment to the edge of a flexible printed circuit board or 'flex circuit', has an edge clip with an opening that can be temporarily enlarged to facilitate the attachment of the pin to the edge of a circuit board. The pin includes an elongated shank with a rectangular cross section and two substantially identical clips attached to opposite sides of the shank. To attach the pin to a printed circuit board, the pin is placed on a flat surface with the shank parallel to the surface. A force is then applied to the shank just below the clips and perpendicular to the surface. This force opens up the edge clip and the edge of the printed circuit board is then inserted into the opening of the edge clip. After the force is removed, the edge clip clamps down on the circuit board, temporarily attaching the pin to the board. The pins can then be permanently affixed to the board by soldering.

This microphone includes a microphone element, speaker and antenna all internal to the microphone housing. These components are carried by a chassis that is fastened to the microphone body at its lower end which also provides the effective attachment point for the microphone cable. The speaker is mounted in the chassis at an angle having its face slight upwardly incline to project sound towards the top of the microphone. An antenna element includes walls on either side of the speaker for reflecting sound upwardly. The antenna element has apertures in its top portion to allow for the passage of sound therethrough. The microphone element is also in a position for picking up sound through the top of the microphone.

A low profile electrical connector assembly for insertion into a mating socket having a connector body whose pin to lead wire input configuration is non-linear. The connector body includes a nose-like projection which acts to reduce the lateral stress imposed on the connector pins when the assembly is removed from its mating socket by a pulling force exerted on the lead wires.
