The present disclosure generally relates to the field of tyre technology and pertains to compositions employed for manufacturing tyre treads. More particularly, the present disclosure provides a composition comprising functionalized styrene butadiene polymer (SBR) and graphene as a reinforcing filler, and processes for preparation and applications thereof. The reinforcement of functionalized SBR with graphene filler shows homogeneous dispersion of graphene via chemical bonding with functionalized SBR, reduces particle-particle interactions of graphene filler, reduces filler-filler interaction and hence increases in filler-graphene interaction which shows the improvement in properties such as wet grip, rolling resistance, modulus, hardness and tensile properties, rheological properties etc. A tyre tread made of the present composition is superior to a tyre tread manufactured using a composition comprising traditional fillers, such as carbon black.

Composition comprising functionalized rubber and graphene, processes and applications thereof

The present disclosure relates to spirobiindane derivatives and a process for preparation of the same. Spirobiindane derivatives are used as intermediates for many commercially important compounds such as chiral polymers. The present disclosure provides a simple and economical process for the preparation of spirobiindane derivatives of Formula (I) with high yield and having high purity.

The present disclosure relates to a Ziegler-Natta catalyst system with self-extinguishing properties suitable for olefin polymerization. The catalyst system of the present disclosure comprises a pro-catalyst, a co-catalyst, and an external donor having a mixture of a selectivity control agent and an activity control agent. The catalyst system of the present disclosure is adapted to prevent the temperature of the polymerization reaction to go beyond the softening temperature of the polymer, thereby exhibiting the self-extinguishing properties.

Ziegler-Natta catalyst system with self-extinguishing properties suitable for olefin polymerization

The present disclosure relates to a polyolefin characterized by melt flow index ranging from 1 and 100 g/10 min; tacticity ranging from 97 and 99.5%; and porosity ranging from 0.1 to 0.4 cm3/g. The present disclosure also relates to a simple and economic method for preparing the polyolefin.

Polyolefin and a process for preparing the same

The Zigler-Natta catalyst composition of the present disclosure provides uniform polyethylene having a molecular weight in the range from 1 million g/mol to 12 million g/mol. The Zigler-Natta catalyst composition of the present disclosure comprises external electron donor selected from the group consisting of substituted silanediyl diacetate, trialkyl borate and tetraalkoxysilane.

Ziegler-Natta catalyst composition for preparing polyethylene

The present disclosure relates to a single-pot multi step process for the preparation of a shape controlled pro-catalyst. The process comprises the steps of: i. reacting magnesium metal and at least one alkanol to obtain spheroidal magnesium alkoxide; ii. treating the spheroidal magnesium alkoxide with at least one transition metal tetrahalide, at least one organic modifier, and optionally, at least one in-organic modifier in the presence of at least one solvent to obtain a reaction mixture; iii. cooling, settling the reaction mixture and decanting the supernatant; iv. adding at least one transition metal tetrahalide, at least one solvent and optionally, at least one organic or inorganic modifier; and v. iterating steps (iii) and (iv) to obtain the shape controlled pro-catalyst.

Shape controlled pro-catalyst and a single pot process for preparing the same

The present disclosure relates to a process of esterification in presence of a catalyst. The catalyst of the present disclosure is an aryloxy based phosphoric acid having general formula [{ArO}P(O)OH] and is represented by the structure: wherein, Ar represents aryl compounds. The process of esterification is carried out by the reaction of a carboxylic acid and an alcohol in a fluid medium in the presence of the aryloxy based phosphoric acid catalyst resulting in the corresponding ester. The process of the present disclosure is simple and results in a product having a comparatively higher purity.

The present disclosure relates to a single-pot process for the preparation of a shape controlled pro-catalyst. The process comprises the steps of i. reacting at least one alkanol with magnesium metal using at least one modifier and optionally, at least one solvent resulting in evolution of hydrogen gas, increasing the evolution of the hydrogen gas in a controlled manner by increasing the temperature in a graded manner to 100&#xb0; C. to obtain a mass, and ii. subjecting the mass to drying to obtain a free flowing procatalyst.

Process of polymerization of propylene

The present invention relates to regular shaped magnesium particles containing attrition resistant precursors and procatalysts thereof and processes for their synthesis and their use in the manufacture of polyolefins. More particularly, the present invention relates to a process for the synthesis of a said precursor particles which give highly active and improved surface area procatalysts for producing high bulk density polyolefin resins containing low fines and capable of incorporating high rubber content. In particular, the present invention relates to process for the synthesis of an attrition resistant precursors to prepare an attrition resistant Zeigler Natta procatalysts synthesized by using the precursors and to the polyolefin resin synthesized using the said procatalysts.

Attrition resistant catalyst system for manufacture of polyolefins

The present invention provides titanium based precursor for polyolefin catalyst with desired morphology and high particle strength. The of preparation of the precursor in accordance with the present invention obviates the use of iodine.

Precursor for polyolefin catalyst

A semi-continuous process and system thereof, for the synthesis of a narrow particle size distribution Zeigler Natta procatalyst for use in the manufacture of polyolefins. The process comprises: (a) mixing a reaction mixture containing a titanium compound; (b) charging a first reactor with said reaction mixture; (c) removing excess reactants from said first reactor as a filtrate; (d) feeding said filtrate to at least one further reactor; and continuously removing excess reactants from said at least further reactor.

The invention relates to a catalyst system for polymerization of propylene, the catalyst system comprising a Ziegler Natta procatalyst, an organoaluminium cocatalyst, a monoester of an aromatic carboxylic acid as the internal donor and ethyl-4-isopropoxy benzoate as the selectivity control agent. The invention also relates to a process for polymerization using the catalyst system as well as to polymers prepared by the process.

Propylene polymerization catalyst system

The present invention discloses new class of nitrogen containing external donor systems. These donor systems are used in titanium supported on magnesium dichloride pro-catalyst system for polymerization of propylene. The external donor systems of the present invention in combination with silane show the kinetics control for diester catalyst polymerization process along with stereo regularity control of product. The polypropylene produced using nitrogen containing external donor systems of the present invention have broad molecular weight distribution.
