Systems and methods described herein provide a slice management and prioritization service on a per user equipment (UE) device level. A network device in a core network may receive a notification that a UE device has exhausted a quota of available simultaneous data radio bearers (DRBs) and, afterwards, receive an indication that an application on the UE device has requested a new protocol data unit (PDU) session on a requested network slice that is not currently active for the UE device. The network device may identify relative priorities for the requested network slice and active network slices for the UE device; determine, based on the relative priorities, if the new PDU session can preempt a DRB for an active PDU session; and delete the active PDU session when it is determined the new PDU session can preempt a DRB for an active PDU session.

A system described herein may receive, from a policy element of a core of a wireless network, a set of triggers associated with a plurality of radio frequency ('RF') bands implemented by a radio access network (“RAN”). The system may identify that a User Equipment (“UE”) is connected to the RAN via a first RF band, and may identify a subsequent connection of the UE to the RAN via a second RF band. The system may identify that a particular trigger, of the set of triggers, is satisfied based on the subsequent connection of the UE to the RAN via the second RF band, and may indicate, to the policy element, that the particular trigger has been satisfied. The policy element may output a second set of UE policies for communications between the UE and the core of the wireless network based on the satisfaction of the particular trigger.

A device may include a processor configured to determine that Quality of Service (QoS) monitoring is to be performed for a communication session; generate a QoS monitoring policy for the communication session; and provide the QoS monitoring policy to a Session Management Function (SMF) associated with the communication session. The detection and autocorrection service may include the addition of a header, which may indicate date and time information, with a message that has an origination timestamp header. The header may be added to the message by an intermediary network device relative to origin and destination network devices associated with a network procedure. The header may enable detection by a network device of stale session information. The header may enable the network device to determine whether to ignore the message as a duplicate message or use the message to carry out the network procedure. In this way, duplicate messages that may include the same origination timestamp header may be managed and stale information may be detected.

A network device may receive a context creation request based on a protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment request for establishing a PDU session with a user device, and may generate a policy context request based on receiving the context creation request. The network device may provide the policy context request to a policy control function (PCF), and may receive, from the PCF and based on the policy context request, policy rules for the PDU session. In one aspect, during PDU session establishment, CHF consumers obtain CHF-Group-ID information as part of a subscriber profile that is provided to all CHF consumers.
