A cosmetic composition is provided which is substantially free of fatty acids and soap and yet displays the typical sensory and optical features of a vanishing cream. The composition comprises C-Cfatty alcohol, emulsifier, inorganic agent, polymer and water. The inorganic agent comprises smectite clay. The composition is mild and may be used to stabilise and deliver a wide variety of skin benefit agents such as sunscreens.

A process for treating a yarn and/or a fabric to form fine inorganic particulate material in the intra-yarn pores and/or on the surface of the fibers constituting the yarn or fabric, which would substantially maintain fabric reflectance after repeated wash/wear cycles without affecting the desired characteristics of air permeability. The inorganic particles are preferably formed by reacting in an aqueous medium a first reagent selected from mineral and organic acids and a second reagent selected from alkali or alkaline earth metal salts with inorganic anions. The invention also relates to a treatment product composition directed to provide instant inorganic deposits in the yarn or fiber surface.

Textile treatment process and product

A process for producing a detergent powder or a composition therefore involving partial granulation in a high or low shear granulator followed by granulation in a very low shear mixer, for example a fluid bed is disclosed. The process allows powders to be produced over a wide range of bulk densities without the use of a spray-drying step.
