A handle assembly for an in-wall plumbing fixture includes a control valve having a rough plumbing attachment interface that is configured to connect to a rough valve. The control valve includes a control stem having a first number of teeth. The assembly includes a lever handle, with a second number of teeth that is different than the first number of teeth, and which is configured for attachment to the control valve. An adapter couples the control stem to the lever handle. The adapter has a set of adapter internal teeth corresponding in number to the first number of teeth and a set of adapter external teeth corresponding in number to the second number of teeth. The adapter can be included in an adjustment kit to align the handle lever.

An spray head includes a spray engine and a metal shell retained on the spray engine. The spray head is assembled by fitting the shell onto the spray engine and seating the shell against a cushioning ring. A retaining device is attached to the spray engine to secure the shell is position. A surface finish is applied to the outer surface of the shell to achieve a desired appearance.

A water dispenser assembly includes valve cartridges for controlling the flow of cold water from the cold-water inlet and the spout. Each valve cartridge includes a rotatable stem extending from a body. The water dispenser assembly includes a self-closing feature that provides for the automatic shut-off of flow of hot water responsive to release of the handle. The self-closing feature includes a spring held onto the stem by an adaptor. The self-closing feature is contained entirely within the valve cartridge and therefore does not require any modification to the housing.

A faucet assembly includes a diverter valve assembly mounted to an inlet of a cold-water pillar and is in fluid communication with a control valve disposed on a hot-water pillar. The diverter valve assembly selectively controls water flow through a spout and a hand spray. The faucet assembly includes a cold-water pillar and a hot-water pillar that are pivotally connected to a bridge that allows adjustment of a distance between the hot and cold-water pillars.

A fluid supply valve includes a valve plate having cold and hot apertures respectively aligned with the cold and hot inlets. A pressure balancer is rotatably supported adjacent to the mixing valve plate. The pressure balancer is rotatable between a closed position to prohibit fluid flow through the mixing valve plate and a range of positions to enable fluid flow through the pressure balancer and through the mixing valve plate to supply fluid from the outlet port.
