The boot is of the rear-fitting type and comprises a hinged upper consisting of two parts (3, 4) and provided with a first tensioning lever (6) acting on a cable, one end of which is connected to a second tensioner (9) permanently connected to the front part (3) of the upper. When the first tensioner (6) is closed, opening of the second tensioner (9) ensures sufficient relaxation of the upper to allow a rest position and facilitate walking.

Read-fitting ski boot

The boot comprises a shaft (6) which is articulated on the shell and the lower edge of which is elbowed towards the interior, this elbowed part having a gap located below and opposite a stop which is integral with the shell. This gap can be closed at will by means of a movable sealing piece (21) which allows or does not allow the shaft to swivel forwards on account of the stop. This makes it possible to modify the action of the boot when bending.

Ski boot

A cable tensioner comprising a winding drum (2) driveable in rotation by means of a handle (12) by the agency of a pinion (10) meshing with a gear wheel (7). The pinion (10) forms part of a non-return device (13, 14). Pressure on the handle (12) releases the drum of the non-return device. According to another embodiment, the non-return device is composed of a worm gear and the drum is released by shifting this.
