A biosensor is for sensing analytes in a fluid. The biosensor may include a first structural layer having a first hydrogel, a second structural layer having a second hydrogel, and a bioactive region extending between the first structural layer and the second structural layer and having a third hydrogel. The biosensor may include a first electrode coupled to the bioactive region, and a second electrode coupled to the first structural layer and being spaced apart from the bioactive region. The second structural layer may have a through opening adjacent the bioactive region, and the bioactive region may be configured to be in fluid communication with an environment external to the biosensor for receiving the fluid comprising the analytes.

Biosensor for sensing analytes in the sweat, and manufacturing method thereof

A microneedle array device includes a substrate and an array of microneedles on the substrate. Each microneedle includes a redox enzyme and redox mediator and an electrically conductive layer on the substrate. The electrically conductive layer may extend partway up each microneedle exposing the tip thereof.

Microneedle array device and method of making

A biosensor includes a flexible foil with an electrode layer positioned on the foil. An adhesive layer is positioned on the foil layer, and a first photo-definable hydrogel membrane is positioned over the electrode layer and the adhesive layer. A second photo-definable hydrogel membrane with an immobilized bio-recognition element is positioned over the first hydrogel membrane in contact with the electrode layer through an opening in the first hydrogel membrane.

Biosensor

A method for manufacturing a biosensor includes forming an electrode layer on a flexible foil. An adhesive layer is positioned on the foil layer, and a first photo-definable hydrogel membrane is positioned over the electrode layer and the adhesive layer. A second photo-definable hydrogel membrane with an immobilized bio-recognition element is positioned over the first hydrogel membrane in contact with the electrode layer through an opening in the first hydrogel membrane.

Method of manufacturing a biosensor

To apply an anti-wetting coating to a substrate of a semiconductor material, a method includes applying to a support a solution of a hydrocarbon comprising at least one unsaturated bond and, optionally, at least one hetero-atom for obtaining a layer of hydrocarbons. The method also includes treating at least one surface of the substrate of the semiconductor material with an acid. The layer of hydrocarbons is transferred from the support to the surface of the substrate of the semiconductor material. The layer of hydrocarbons is chemically coupled with the surface of the substrate of the semiconductor material.

Method for the surface treatment of a semiconductor substrate

A method for application of an anti-wetting coating to a substrate of a semiconductor material is described. The method includes applying to a support a solution of a hydrocarbon comprising at least one unsaturated bond and, optionally, at least one hetero-atom for obtaining a layer of hydrocarbons. The method also includes treating at least one surface of the substrate of the semiconductor material with an acid. The layer of hydrocarbons is transferred from the support to the surface of the substrate of the semiconductor material. The layer of hydrocarbons is chemically coupled with the surface of the substrate of the semiconductor material. The method may be applied to an integrated ink jet printhead provided with a nozzle plate in which the nozzle plate serves as the substrate of the semiconductor material.

The present disclosure relates to microstructure devices, in which a conductive pattern is formed on the basis of a conductive polymer material. In order to avoid the deposition and processing of the sacrificial materials and reduce a negative influence of the lithography process on sensitive conductive polymer materials a one-layer patterning sequence is proposed, in which a trench pattern is formed in a dielectric material that is subsequently filled with the conductive polymer material.
