The treadle assembly of the present invention comprises one or more lightweight flexible circuits completely sealed within an envelope of resilient elastomeric material. This treadle is thus more resistant to water, wear, road salt, and other environmental factors than conventional treadle assemblies.

Treadle assembly

A form stable thermally conductive urethane material comprising of a urethane resin, a urethane curing agent and one or more thermally conductive fillers. It is useful in transferring thermal energy, for example, from an electonic component to a heat sink. The thermally conductive urethane material eliminates the problems of migration and adherence of conformal coatings associated with other thermally conductive materials. The thermal conductive urethane material may be formed with or without a support layer of glass cloth, plastic mesh or film or metal mesh or foil. If desired, the thermally conductive material may be electrically insulative.

Thermally conductive materials

A shielded cable system having a connector, a shielded cable and an interface of a pressure sensitive adhesive electrically conductive performed insert which provides effective noise suppression between the connector and cable. In manufacture the insert is folded about and positioned in contact with the connector and the cable suppression sheath (usually a metal braid) is then preferably held in good electrical contact with the connector and sheath by a shrinkable molded outer protective portion e.g. of dielectric material.

Shielded cable system and method

The overload protection material of this invention comprises a plastic preferably an elastomer, e.g. silicone rubber, homogeneously and highly loaded with silicon carbide particles (powder) and a lesser amount of a Group IV B element-carbide particles (powder). The material is preferably form stable and is placed (across) a semiconductor junction or between electrodes of a device to be protected so that when high voltage surges appear across the junction or device to be protected the material breaks down (conducts) before the junction or device is destroyed. The material is bidirectionally conductive in its voltage threshold characteristic and repeatedly recovers unlike a fuse so that it provides continuous high voltage over-voltage (e.g. surge) protection.

Keyboard having contactors and contacts which are selectively urged against one another by depression causing engagement of one by the other, the keyboard having at least contactors or contacts or both which are constructed of a conductive polymeric composition such that upon engagement of a contactor with a contact there is exhibited substantially reduced bounce after repeated closure of contactor against contact even at micro ampere current levels.

A circuit board or sheet of homogeneous material having one or more circuit elements adhering to a surface thereof, said sheet providing a low through resistance path between each circuit element and opposed and aligned contacts positioned in surface contact with the opposite side of the sheet while providing a high isolation resistance between out of alignment contacts positioned on the opposite side of the sheet and between contacts positioned on the same side of the sheet positioned an isolation distance from said circuit elements. The circuit board with a circuit pattern is shown in various applications, such as keyboard or watch.

Isolated path coupling system

An electrical connector in sheet form or the like which has a low through resistance in a volume between opposing surface contacts on opposite sides or surfaces of the sheet and provides a substantially higher isolation resistance in all volumes thereof between a contact on the surface of the sheet which is at a distance greater than the thickness of the sheet from any of the first of the above mentioned contacts.

Isolated paths connector

An electrical interconnector for coupling circuit board terminals or the like to a liquid crystal package terminal, circuit board terminals, integrated circuit terminals, etc., and which includes an insulator support e.g., having at least two surfaces to which electrically conductive plastic strips are attached. There is also disclosed a new and improved method particularly suitable for attaching said strips to said surfaces around a corner as well as for attaching said strips to other shaped bodies.
