Bearing and associated sensor bearing unit

A sensor bearing unit includes a bearing, which has a first ring and a second ring, both rings being centered on an axis, and an impulse ring. The impulse ring includes a target holder, a target mounted on the target holder, and a sleeve secured to the first ring of the bearing. The sleeve is provided with an axial portion having at least one radial protrusion and a collar extending at least partially radially. The target holder is mounted radially around the axial portion of the sleeve and axially between the first ring of the bearing and the collar of the sleeve. The at least one radial protrusion of the sleeve axial portion extends into a complementary recess provided on the target holder.

Sensor bearing unit with improved breaking torque and method of manufacturing thereof

A method for mounting a sensor bearing unit providing a bearing and an impulse ring provided with a target holder and with a target mounted on an axial portion of the target holder. The method including measuring an eccentricity Ebetween the target and the axial portion of the target holder, measuring an eccentricity Ebetween a groove made in the bore of an inner ring of the bearing and the bore, introducing the target holder inside the groove, turning the target holder inside the groove to an angular position in which the eccentricity Ebetween the target and the bore of the inner ring is less than or equal to a predetermined value which is lower than the sum of the eccentricities Eand E, and securing the target holder inside the groove of the inner ring at the angular position.

Method for mounting a sensor bearing unit, and sensor bearing unit adapted to such a method

The bearing provides a first ring and a second ring centered on an axis, each of the first and second rings being provided with an outer cylindrical surface, with an inner cylindrical surface, and with lateral faces that axially delimit the outer and inner cylindrical surface. One of the inner and outer cylindrical surfaces and/or one of the lateral faces of the first ring includes a textured area provided with a groove extending circumferentially and with two protrusions disposed one on each side of the groove and extending along the groove.

A sensor bearing unit includes a bearing having a first ring and a second ring, and an impulse ring provided with a target holder, with a target mounted on the target holder, and with a sleeve secured to the first ring. The target holder having a mounting portion secured to the first ring of the bearing. The target holder has at least anti-rotation feature axially spaced apart from a free end of the mounting portion and cooperating with a complementary anti-rotation feature of the first ring so as to prevent angular movement of the impulse ring relative to the first ring. The anti-rotation feature of the target holder extends into the complementary anti-rotation feature of the first ring.

The sensor bearing unit provides a bearing having an inner ring and an outer ring centered on an axis, the inner ring mounted on a shaft, and an impulse ring provided with a target holder and with a target mounted on the target holder, the target holder being secured to the inner ring. The target holder includes anti-rotation features adapted to cooperate with complementary anti-rotation features of the shaft so as to prevent angular movement of the impulse ring relative to the shaft by abutment in circumferential direction.

Sensor bearing unit and associated apparatus and manufacturing method

A sensor bearing unit includes a bearing having a first ring and a second ring, and an impulse ring provided with a target holder, with a target mounted on the target holder, and with a sleeve secured to the first ring, the target holder being axially mounted between a lateral face of the first ring and the sleeve. A bearing includes at least one bearing ring, a target ring and a coupling element. The coupling element is provided for maintaining the relative position of the bearing ring to the target ring. The coupling element includes an alignment surface that is adapted to align the target ring with one of a housing or a shaft into/onto which the bearing ring is to be mounted.

An impulse ring centered on a central axis, for a sensor-bearing unit including a bearing is provided. The impulse ring includes a magnetized target that generates a magnetic fields adapted to be sensed by a sensor, and an annular target holder. The target holder provides an inner axial tubular portion adapted to be fixed to a rotatable inner ring of the bearing, an outer axial tubular portion holding the magnetized target that is positioned radially beyond an outer ring of bearing, and an intermediate portion that radially extends between the inner axial tubular portion and outer axial tubular portion. The intermediate portion provides a radial part, an inclined part and a plurality of stiffening ribs.

A bearing unit having a bearing centered on a central axis and including a rotating inner ring, a non-rotating outer ring, and at least one row of rolling elements arranged between the rings. A sensor unit for sensing the angular position of a rotating element with respect to a fixed element includes a target fastened to the rotating element and a given number of sensing cells. Each sensing cell is connected to a connection device adapted to provide power supply, transmit data delivered by the sensing cells and connect each sensing cell to the ground. The sensor unit provides an output connector for electrically connecting the sensor unit to a reception device, a power supply system and the ground, via a connection cable having at least two connection wires. The connector includes, for each wire of the connection cable, a connection pin having a clamp portion adapted to receive an end of the wire, and a plug portion adapted to make a pressing contact with the connection device.

Sensor unit for sensing an angular position of a rotating element with respect to a fixed element and bearing assembly comprising such a sensor unit

A sensor-bearing unit, adapted for implementation in an oil lubricated environment and comprising: a bearing including at least one rotating ring movable in rotation around a central axis, and a detection device for tracking the rotation of the rotating ring. The detection device is locked to the bearing and includes at least one target and at least one sensor associated with the target. At least one axial side of the bearing includes a passage opened along an axial direction parallel to the central axis and allowing an oil flow through the bearing. The detection device includes an air gap defined radially to the central axis between a maximum outer radius of the target and a minimum inner radius of the sensor.
