An eyeglass device including a variable transmission ophthalmic lens, a method for driving the transmission of such lens, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for implementing such method. The eyeglass device comprises a light sensor configured for measuring an amount of light in the environment of a wearer and a controlling circuit configured for receiving at least light data from said light sensor and for driving the transmission of said ophthalmic lens on the basis of said light data. The controlling circuit is configured for driving the transmission of said ophthalmic lens on the basis further of movement data, said movement data being derived from an estimation of a movement of the wearer's head.

Binocular device comprising a monocular display device

A pictures positioning system and method for positioning pictures on display elements of a binocular displaying device is described. The binocular displaying device comprises a right and a left display element to be placed in front of corresponding eyes of a wearer, and to display right and left pictures. The binocular displaying device comprises a measurement means. The method comprises a providing step during which at least one wearer related parameter is provided, the providing step including a measurement operation. The measurement operation may be performed by using the measurement means embedded in the binocular displaying device. The method includes a display positioning determination step during which a right display positioning of the right picture on the right display element is determined and a left display positioning of the left picture on the left display element is determined. The display positioning determination step is performed based on at least one wearer related parameter.

Method of manufacturing an ophthalmic lens for providing an optical display

The invention concerns a method of manufacturing a lens () that has a front face and a rear face, and into which light beams emitted by an optical element of a light beam generator system (IB) are introduced via an entry surface (Si) and directed towards the eye of the wearer to enable information content to be viewed, by means of a transparent optical insert (IA,A, I) constituted by a light guide, said insert (I) being with a form substantially identical to the form of a final lens suitable for being positioned in a frame () of a support. According to the invention, the method comprises the following steps: manufacturing said insert (I) with a form smaller than the form of said final lens according to a proportional transformation, manufacturing a lens blank (LB) by association of plastic material forming said front face and said rear face with said insert (I) and cutting said lens blank (LB) around said insert (I) and with a distance from the edges of said insert which is around 1 mm for at least 50% of the periphery of said insert.

Method of manufacturing a lens for providing an optical display

The invention provides an adjustment method for adjusting a binocular display, the display comprising for each eye of the wearer, an optical imager for shaping light beams corresponding to an image emitted by a beam generator device and for directing them towards each of the wearer's eyes so as to enable information content contained in a virtual image to be viewed, the display being associated with a pair of eyeglasses having two lenses supported by a frame. According to the invention, the method consists in moving at least one said lens (A,B) relative to said frame () with three degrees of freedom, in order to obtain superposition of the two virtual images, each said imager being contained in said lens (A,B) of said pair of eyeglasses.
