A spinal implant including a first component, a second component and a core component is disclosed. The first component includes a first exterior surface configured for engaging a first vertebra and a first interior surface opposing the first exterior surface. The second component includes a second exterior surface configured for engaging a second vertebra and a second interior surface opposing the second exterior surface. The core component is situated between the first and second components and adhered to the first interior surface and the second interior surface, wherein at least one of the first interior surface and the second interior surface includes a concavity such that at the location of the concavity, the core component includes a corresponding convexity. Further, the core component includes a sidewall, wherein the sidewall comprises a concavity.

Disclosed are embodiments of a dynamic stabilizer system for dynamically stabilizing the sacrum and at least lumbar vertebra L5. The dynamic stabilizer system may comprise two anchoring members that can be implanted at distinct locations in the sacrum, a mechanical fastener element having two ends and a flexible portion that can be securely fastened on the spinous process of a lumbar vertebra, and two distinct rods, each securing onto the anchoring members and the mechanical fastener element. In some embodiments, the dynamic stabilizer system may further comprise one or more spacers, each interposed between two spinous processes. The mechanical fastener element further comprises features for securing the one or more spacers.

Intervertebral disk prosthesis

An intervertebral disk prosthesis, having a rigid top plate, a rigid bottom plate, and an elastically deformable intermediate cushion housed between the two inner surfaces of the plates. The cushion, at rest, possesses a wedge-shape possessing at least one front notch open into the larger end of the wedge and one rear notch open into the narrower end. The faces of the notches co-operate by contact over an area of magnitude that varies as a function of the intensity and/or direction of the load to which the prosthesis is subjected. The bottoms of the notches are spaced apart from each other and situated in the narrower half of the prosthesis.

Intervertebral prosthesis

A method for repairing bone in a bone cavity delimited by healthy bone faces, and from which traumatized bone has been excised, comprises adjusting a flexible, biocompatible mesh fabric tube to fit the bone cavity and contact the healthy bone faces and filling the mesh tube with a bone graft. A bioresorbable coating is applied to the tube to rigidify the tube having been adjusted in shape to fit the bone cavity. The coating seals the mesh against graft movement through the mesh of the tube until the bioresorbable coating has been resorbed. The tube is inserted within the bone cavity and the coating is resorbed to allow the graft to pass from the interior of the tube, through the mesh, to the healthy bone faces.

Method for repairing bone

A bone repair device includes a mesh tube coated with poly-L-Lactide and in which a graft is inserted. The tube is maintained in position by a plate fixed with screws to healthy bone portions. The invention is useful for filling bone cavities.
