A watch case including a thumbwheel for controlling a watch function, configured to be manipulated by a user, movable inside a housing and configured to allow a limited translational motion of one portion of the thumbwheel in a radial direction of the case, against an elastic return configured to move the portion away from an interior of the case. The housing includes a control detector detecting presence of the portion close to the center of the case when pressure is applied by a user, and configured to activate or deactivate a sensor included in the case in proximity to the housing, configured, when a rotational movement is imparted to the thumbwheel by the user, to detect passage of a transmitter included in the thumbwheel.

Light guide into which is injected the light produced by a light source optically coupled to the light guide, wherein the light guide includes a first central portion made of a transparent material in which are structured light extractors, via which the light produced by the light source is extracted from the light guide, and a second peripheral portion made of a light absorbing material and surrounding the central portion, wherein the peripheral portion is integral with the central portion.

The present embodiments provide a method for unlocking a function of a device using a timepiece including a display device including display elements and a control device driving the display elements in a predefined animation sequence. The method including that the timepiece is placed in front of a detection device, the control device is actuated to drive the display elements in the predefined animation sequence, the predefined animation sequence is detected by the detection device, the detected animation sequence is compared to a reference animation sequence, and if the detected animation sequence is identical to the reference animation sequence, then the function is unlocked.

Method for unlocking a function using a timepiece

A watch case includes a case middle made of plastic or electroformed material and a crystal. The crystal or the case middle includes elbowed catches that are each insertable in a bayonet fitting in a recess of the case middle or the crystal. The case also includes a rotation stop angularly securing the case middle and the crystal in an angular position such that a part of each catch is frontally locked behind a holding surface of the case middle or of the crystal. The rotation stop is frontally snap-fitted on the case middle and/or the crystal by snap-fit fingers that cooperate with a complementary stop surface of the case middle and/or of the crystal.
