The present invention relates to a flexible pipe comprising a mechanical reinforcement element () and a pressure sheath. Mechanical reinforcement element () comprises at least one metallic tensile armour layer () and at least one composite tensile armour layer (). Composite tensile armour layer () is arranged outside metallic tensile armour layer (). Separation means () are provided to separate composite tensile armours (), while maintaining a radial clearance and a circumferential clearance for composite tensile armours ().
