A transfer device transfers an individual from a bed to an adjacent support surface or vice versa and includes a mobile unit defined by a base and an upstanding structure having lower and upper end portions respectively adjacent to and remote from the base. A lower drive pulley and an upper idler pulley are located respectively adjacent to and remote from the base. A motor rotates the lower drive pulleys to wind thereupon a cable at least partially entrained upon the upper idler pulley. Clamps releasably connect the cable to a slide interposed between an individual and a bed or an adjacent support surface upon which an individual is reposed whereby upon operation of the motor, the slide with an individual thereon is pulled from a bed to an associated adjacent support surface or vice versa.

Patient transfer device

A shelf assembly includes a shelf adapter bracket defined by a U-shaped shelf bracket member in legs of which are vertically disposed opposing slideways into which open a plurality of vertically spaced slots. A shelf includes a pair of shelf support brackets each having a pin which move in the slideways and seats in the slots to effect selective vertical adjustment of an associated shelf. The shelf adapter bracket has hooks for engaging in slots of conventional refrigerator trackways. The shelf includes lateral stabilizing ribs, a lubricity block, and a stop nose which engages a stop in a bight wall of the shelf bracket member to prevent inadvertent/accidental downward shelf movement.

Vertically adjustable shelves and refrigerator compartment housing the same

A shelf assembly includes a pair of shelf adapter brackets each defined by first and second shelf bracket members, one of which includes vertically disposed opposing slideways into which open a plurality of vertically spaced slots and the other of which includes a plurality of supporting projections which move in the slideways and seat in the slots to effect selectively vertical adjustment of an associated shelf. The shelf may include shelf brackets having hooks for engaging in slots of one of the bracket members or can be integrally formed to define one of the first and second bracket members. Another embodiment includes a shelf having an injection molded rim with hooks at rear corners thereof for engaging one of the shelf support members. Each shelf assembly prevents inadvertent/accidental disengagement of an associated shelf from the adapter brackets.

Refrigerator compartment housing vertically adjustable shelves

A snow making gun of the present invention includes a cylindrical housing carrying a motor and a fan which creates an air current into which water is injected from a ring water manifold via a plurality of nozzles having discharge orifices. An adjustable nucleating mechanism is associated with the manifold to optimize snow making under a variety of ambient conditions of pressure, humidity and temperature. Preferably, the water manifold or a portion thereof is removable so that nozzles having orifices of the first size can be replaced by an identical water manifold having nozzles whose orifices are of a different size. By utilizing quick connect/disconnect clamping elements a water manifold and its associated nucleating mechanism can be rapidly removed from and another applied to a cylindrical housing of an associated snow gun to assure that optimum artificial snow is made under any and all conditions.

Hair-streaking cap

A method of making hair-streaking cap which includes a semi-hemispherical body formed of relatively resilient polymeric or copolymeric plastic material. The cap has a plurality of areas adapted to be penetrated by a hook-like implement for pulling groups of strands of hair therethrough which can be treated with a liquid. The semi-hemispherical body has on its internal surface at least one radially inwardly directed circumferential rib which projects beyond an inner semi-hemispherical surface of the body. The method included forming a first cup-shaped article in a female mold with a male plunger; removing the first article and cutting a circumferential groove in the plunger and molding a second cup-shaped article with an internal circumferential rib. The circumferential rib (1) prevents internal liquid leakage downwardly when on the head of a person, (2) automatically increases the resilience of the semi-hemispherical body, and reduces the internal diameter to effect a relatively tight fit of the cap upon the head of a user.

Method of making a hair-streaking cap

A disposable funnel defined by a generally frusto-conical tubular sheet material body having longitudinally opposite ends defining openings of two different sizes, at least one bond line between the opposite ends defining a longitudinal bonded seam of the body, and a torn edge along the longitudinal bonded seams along which the funnel is torn from other generally identical funnels of a funnel sheet in planar, folded or rolled-up form.

Funnel construction system

A hair-streaking cap which includes a semi-hemispherical body formed of relatively resilient polymeric or copolymeric plastic material. The cap has a plurality of areas adapted to be penetrated by a hook-like implement for pulling groups of strands of hair therethrough which can be treated with a liquid. Dual hair-frosting needle

This disclosure relates to an implement particularly adapted for engaging groups of hair and withdrawing the groups of hair through an associated frosting cap incident to tinting, frosting, streaking, dyeing or otherwise treating and/or coloring the hair, the implement including a generally elongated cylindrical body of one piece homogeneous polymeric/copolymeric material, a pair of generally oppositely directed hook portions carried one at each of axially opposite ends of the body, each hook portion including a shank and a hook, the hooks being of different sizes, the shank being common to and integral with the hooks or alternatively each hook portion including a separate shank individual to its associated hook, means defined by the shank or shanks for preventing relative axial and rotational movement between the hook portions and the body and for securing the same together, and a cap housing each hook in partial external telescopic relationship to an associated one of the body ends whereby each cap can be selectively removed to expose the associated hook for withdrawing groups of hair as aforesaid.
