A mounting platform is provided for securing munitions. The platform includes a flat plate, a front block and a rear block. The plate includes a plurality of cutout holes. The front block has a first saddle disposed between first flanking ends and at least one extension at one of the flanking ends for inserting into a first opening of the cutouts. The rear block has a second saddle disposed between second flanking ends at least one extension for inserting into a second opening of the cutouts. The munitions are disposable atop the first and second saddles of the front and rear blocks. The munitions are restrained axially against a rear stop block and laterally by the saddles and straps.

Modularized platform for munition canister

A rotary engine is provided to produce torque. The engine includes a planar housing, an elongated rotor, a pair of double-concave blades, fore and aft cover plates, and a gear box. The housing has a circular center cavity, and a pair of circular lateral cavities overlapping the center cavity and disposed along a longitudinal axis. The rotor is disposed on a rotor shaft along a rotation axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis within the center cavity. The blades flank the rotor and are disposed within their corresponding lateral cavity and turn on corresponding blade shafts parallel to the rotor shaft. The blades flank the rotor disposed within their corresponding lateral cavity and turn on corresponding blade shafts parallel to the rotor shaft. The fore and aft cover plates flank the housing along the rotation axis to cover the center and lateral cavities. The gear box is disposed on the aft cover plate and has a rotor gear wheel with adjacent corresponding blade gear wheels. The rotor gear wheel turns with the rotor shaft while engaging both blade gear wheels along their peripheries. The blade gear wheels turn with the corresponding blade shafts. The blades turn opposite to the rotor.

Rotary combustion engine

A rotary engine is provided for providing torque. The engine includes a housing, a stator, a crank shaft, a rotor and a pair of vanes. The housing has an inner wall with an elliptical profile with major and minor axes. The stator has an outer wall and a double ellipsoid profile corresponding to the major and minor axes. The crank shaft is disposed at a junction of the major and minor axes, rotating about a spin axis orthogonal to the profiles. The rotor has an annular circular profile disposed between the inner and outer walls. The rotor turns on the crank shaft. The vanes radially slide within the rotor as the crank shaft rotates and as the vanes turn within the inner and outer walls.

Vane drive rotary combustion engine

A pivoting flap valve is provided for an internal combustion rotary that produces mechanical torque. The engine includes an annular planar housing with a substantially circular annulus flanked by first and second cavities, an axial shaft, a rotor disposed on the shaft and rotating within the annulus. The valve is disposed within one cavity of said cavities and includes an arc wedge and a pivot shaft. The wedge has outer convex surface and an inner concave surface and a shaft hole between and parallel to the surfaces along a rocking axis. The pivot shaft passes through the shaft hole that enables the wedge to rock back and forth within the cavity in the annular planar housing without interference with the cam block. Each valve includes indents to pass around fore and aft circular wings on a rotor. The engine includes the housing, the rotor, first and second sparkplugs, first and second flap valves, an axial shaft and fore-and-aft covers. The housing includes a quadrilateral symmetry including a substantially circular annulus flanked by first and second cavities. The wings of the rotor intermittently block at least one port while the axial shaft rotates.

Pivot valve for rotary internal combustion engine

An internal combustion rotary engine is provided for producing mechanical torque. The engine includes an annular planar housing, a rotor, sparkplugs, flap valves, an axial shaft and fore-and-aft covers. The housing includes a quadrilateral symmetry including a substantially circular annulus flanked by first and second cavities. The rotor has a cam block sandwiched between fore and aft circular wings. The sparkplugs are respectively accessible to the second cavities. The flap valves rock within the respective cavities and within the cam block. Each valve includes indents to pass around the wings. The fuel intake provides fuel to the cavities. The axial shaft rotates the rotor within the housing. Covers, each having a center orifice and a pair of ports exposed to ambient and respectively adjacent the first and second cavities. The wings intermittently block at least one port while the rotor rotates.

Rotary internal combustion engine

A method is provided for supplying to an operator a video stream from at least one of a plurality of cameras that capture images. This includes connecting the cameras and a computer to a network and recording the images from each camera into a corresponding buffer accessible to the computer. Upon detecting a triggering event associated with an event-recording camera, further operations include responding to the triggering event by depositing the images from an event-recording buffer corresponding to said event-recording camera as the video stream into a reviewable memory, and retrieving the video stream from the reviewable memory for the operator. The operator is preferably one of a commander using a command workstation, a lethal response operator using a lethal workstation, and a non-lethal response operator using a non-lethal workstation. Also preferably, each workstation is assigned as one of a primary brain and failover brains. The primary brain functions to execute software and issue control signals, so that if the primary brain fails, one of the failover brains assumes the functions, that failover brain being selected in a sequential order.

Automatically triggered video surveillance system

An alignment and locking system includes a dovetailed male portion having partial female threads formed in a surface thereof, a housing having a dovetailed notch for slidingly receiving the male portion, and a screw assembly coupled to the housing. The screw assembly includes a rotatable rod having a threaded region that partially extends into the housing's notch. The threaded region includes a partially threaded portion and a fully threaded portion. The partially threaded portion is defined by (i) a first region that cannot engage the partial female threads of the male portion as it slides in the notch, and (ii) a second region that can engage the partial female threads of the male portion as it slides in the notch. The system is further configured to impart a biased rotational movement to the rod to align the first region of the partially threaded portion with the notch when the male portion is not engaged in the notch.

Dovetail alignment and locking system

An alignment mount is provided for adjusting elevation and azimuth between first and second axes for two respective devices attached thereto. The axes are substantially parallel to an axial direction and substantially perpendicular to lateral and vertical directions. These directions form a pitch plane by said axial and vertical directions, a yaw plane by said axial and lateral directions and a roll plane by said lateral and vertical directions. The mount is detachably disposable to first and second devices corresponding to the first and second axes. The mount includes first and second platforms respectively attachable to the first and second devices, an elevation block, an elevation screw, an elevation cam, an azimuth screw and an azimuth cam. The first platform includes a first slot that extends substantially in the yaw plane. The second platform includes a first bore and a first channel extending in tandem substantially in the axial direction. The elevation screw is rotatable within the first bore in the roll plane. The elevation block is insertable into the first channel and includes a second bore, a second channel and a second slot. The second bore and the second channel extend substantially in the axial direction. The azimuth screw is rotatable within the second bore in the roll plane. The second slot extends substantially in the pitch plane. The elevation cam translates within said first channel to engage with the second slot to rotate one end of the elevation block in the pitch plane in response to turning of the elevation screw. The elevation block and first platform can be pinned together at an opposite end to the first end. The first platform can include a Picatinny rail.

Bore-sight alignment device

A launcher training system includes a housing shaped to resemble a projectile launcher. A hollowed-out portion of the housing defines a boresight axis. An optical sight is coupled to the housing such that the boresight axis and the optical sight's line-of-sight are fixed in relation to one another. The optical sight further defines a sight field-of-view (FOV) with a first reticle appearing therein. An imaging means in the hollowed-out portion of the housing generates an image in an image FOV thereof. Video signal transmitter are provided to transmit signals indicative of the image over the air waves. A remotely-located receiver station is provided to reproduce the image with a second reticle being overlaid thereon. The imaging means are adjustably positioned such that the image FOV is sighted along the boresight axis and such that the second reticle overlaid on the reproduced image appears at the same position as the first reticle in the sight FOV.

Launcher training system

A control knob assembly is disclosed that may be generally used for the quick zeroing adjustment of a dial thereof. A control knob assembly includes a housing with a shaft rotatably supported therein. A ring is coupled to the shaft in such a way that rotation of the ring causes rotation of the shaft. The ring has a plurality of holes distributed therearound and extending longitudinally therethrough from a first side thereof to a second side thereof. A knob is disposed about the shaft adjacent the first side of the ring. The knob is rotatable about the shaft and slidable therealong. A spring is coupled between the knob and ring for biasing the knob towards the ring. A pin extends from the knob to engage one of the holes at the first side of the ring when the spring is free to bias the knob towards the ring. A spring-loaded detent mechanism mounted in the housing engages one of the holes from the second side of the ring. The detent mechanism permits rotation of the ring relative to the housing when the spring is free to bias the knob towards the ring. However, the detent mechanism inhibits rotation of the ring relative to the housing when the spring's bias is overcome by a pulling force that causes the pin to disengage from one of the holes at the first side of the ring.

Quick zeroing knob assembly

A resettable trigger mechanism has an activating rod with a first portion slidably mounted in a housing and a second portion extending from the housing. The activating rod has a notch formed in its first portion. A trigger is coupled to the activating rod's second portion. A first spring coupled between the activating rod and housing biases the second portion towards the housing. A reset rod has a first section slidably mounted in the housing and a second section extending from the housing. The reset rod has a cutout portion formed in its first section for slidingly receiving therethrough the first portion of the activating rod. A second spring is coupled between the reset rod and housing for biasing the second section away from the housing. When the trigger is activated, the activating rod is pulled from the housing to align its notch with the cutout portion of the reset rod so that the reset rod can move under the force of the second spring until the reset rod's cutout portion engages the notch. When the trigger is to be reset, the reset rod is pushed towards the housing to disengage the cutout portion from the notch so that the activating rod is free to move under the force of the first spring thereby allowing the trigger to return to its ready-to-fire position.

Resettable apparatus for use with trigger mechanism

A bayonet lug clamp and mount assembly is provided for use with a rifle having a T-shaped bayonet lug with slots formed in a central portion thereof. A housing is configured to slidingly engage the bayonet lug. A lever incorporating an accessory mounting rail is pivotally coupled to the housing for movement towards and away therefrom. A jaw is movably mounted in the housing and has teeth that are aligned with the slots in the bayonet lug when the housing is slid thereon. A piston/cylinder assembly is coupled to the lever and to the jaw. When the lever is pivoted towards the housing with the teeth aligned with the slots in the bayonet lug, the piston/cylinder assembly presses the jaw against the bayonet lug as the teeth engage the slots. The lever can be locked to the housing in order to assure that the clamp does not move when the rifle is fired.

Bayonet lug clamp and mount assembly

A switching assembly that operatively cooperates with the triggering mechanism of a firearm, such as a rocket launcher, is disclosed. The switching assembly allows for an adjustable trigger linear travel of about 0.4&Prime; within an accuracy of 0.01 inches, while at the same time prevents any over-travel of the switch activator from damaging a depressible switch that is operatively interconnected to firing of the rocket from the launcher.

Dual Adjusting override precision switch activator

An optical sight is integrated into a bracket that can support an optical scope. The bracket defines a bore therethrough such that an optical line-of-sight is defined that is parallel to the line-of-sight of the optical scope. A post extends vertically upward into the bore at a forward end of the bracket in a way that the post's outboard end can be selectively positioned in the bore along a vertical line extending through the bore. A plate with a viewing aperture formed therethrough is mounted across the bore at an aft end of the bracket in a way that the viewing aperture can be selectively positioned along a horizontal line that is perpendicular to the vertical line defined by the post.

Bracket-integrated back-up optical sight

A bayonet lug clamp has a housing opened on one end thereof for slidingly engaging the bayonet lug. A plate is mounted in the housing and opposes the bayonet lug as the housing is slid thereon. A screw passes through the housing to threadably engage the plate. Turning of the screw draws the plate against the bayonet lug.
