Methods and systems related to design, test, development, certification, deployment, and maintenance infrastructures for payment solutions are disclosed herein. A disclosed system includes a software binaries generator for generating an executable for a source code file. The source code file includes an EMV kernel. The disclosed system also includes a testing environment that accepts the executable and simulates the executable with a virtual payment processing hardware system in a simulation. The testing environment verifies EMV compliance for the executable via the simulation. The disclosed system also includes a security module that generates a proof of trust for the executable in response to the testing environment verifying EMV compliance for the executable and provides the proof of trust for the executable for an external EMV compliance authority.

Systems and methods involving secure connections between security meshes are disclosed herein. One disclosed device includes a first security processor located within a first security mesh, a first casing having a connector and supporting the first security mesh and the applications processor, a second security processor located within a second security mesh, and a second casing connected to the first casing via the connector and supporting the second security mesh. The first security processor and second security processor are programmed to generate a unique pre-shared key independently on both the first security processor and the second security processor using an elliptic key exchange and establish a secure connection between the first security processor and the second security processor using the unique pre-shared key.

Methods and systems for providing an advanced hardware system for a self-service kiosk are disclosed herein. In specific embodiments of the invention, a payment interface device is provided. The device includes an integrated touch display, a means for receiving payment information, and a casing holding the integrated touch display and the means for receiving payment information. The device also includes an applications microprocessor and a secure microprocessor located within the casing. The applications microprocessor instantiates an operating system and stores instructions for execution by the operating system for operative communication with a peripheral bar code scanner and a peripheral display. The secure microprocessor stores instructions to encrypt payment information for the system and is in operative communication with the means for receiving payment information.
