There is disclosed a portable electronic device (), particularly of the wristwatch type, comprising at least first and second analogue display members, a sensor () powered to take measurements of a surrounding physical magnitude and a memory zone () for storing the measured physical magnitude values. The electronic circuits of the device are capable of operating the analogue display members, in an operating mode called the historic mode, such that at least one of them indicates the change in the stored value as a function of time opposite suitable graduations () of the device.

A mechanical golf counter includes a case in which is mounted a golf counter mechanism including: a plurality of first components for counting score associated with a plurality of holes and for providing indication of the score at each hole; a plurality of second components for storing the indication for each hole and cooperating with the first components; third component for altering the score indication of a selected hole, cooperating with the first component; fourth component for reading the score of the selected hole, and cooperating with the first components; and fifth component for displaying the score of the selected hole, the fifth component cooperating with the fourth component, wherein the first components are mounted mobile inside the case so any one of the components can occupy a determined score incrementing/reading position, in which the component is selected to cooperate with the third and fourth components.

Mechanical golf counter

The present invention concerns a portable electronic timepiece including analogue display means. Preferably, the analogue display means include hour (), minute () and second () hands and two concentric date display rings () visible through a large aperture (), said different display members being driven independently of each other. The electronic circuits () of the timepiece are arranged for keeping a golf score in a particular operating mode, called the golf mode. The use of current time display means for displaying information relating to golf play means that the timepiece is easy to read in golf mode. The electronic circuits are also arranged to allow the wearer of the timepiece to display, particularly, the scores of any hole already played at any time during the game, owing to intuitive manipulations of a single control member ().

There is described a portable device () including in particular a case () closed by a glass () and containing device for detecting the presence of water () in contact with an external region of the assembly formed by the case and the glass. In a preferred embodiment, the device for detecting the presence of water include a plurality of capacitive sensors () arranged in a peripheral region of the device () so as to undergo a variation in their respective capacitances when the latter is immersed in water. Thus, a quantity characteristic of the capacitance value of each sensor () is periodically measured and stored. After each measurement, the new value obtained is compared to the preceding one to detect any variation in the corresponding capacitance. When a part of the capacitive sensors () simultaneously see their respective capacitances vary considerably between two measurements, detection of the presence of water is validated.

Portable electronic device including capacitive water detection means and method of implementation

An electronic diving watch () with analog display is described, comprising bidirectional means for moving the hour () and minute () hands respectively. The watch provides a diving mode of operation in which the hands displaying the current time are also used to display data relating to the dive. More particularly, the hour hand () is used to provide information vital to the wearer of the watch, namely the maximum remaining duration before it becomes necessary to effect a decompression stage during the ascent. An embodiment is described in which the duration of a single stage at 3 meters is also indicated once the maximum remaining duration has been exceeded.

An electronic diving watch ( ) with an analog display is described, comprising bidirectional driving means respectively of an hour hand ( ) and a minute hand ( ). The watch has a diving operating mode in which the display hands of the current time are likewise used in order to display data relating to the dive. More precisely, the hour hand ( ) is used for the indication of information which is vital for the wearer of the watch, i.e. either that his body has not been subjected to physiological modifications which are significantly substantial enough for him to be required to observe a decompression stage during the ascent, or the parameters of the stage(s) to be effected, if need be. Liquid crystal screens ( ) are furthermore provided in order to display complementary information.
