A cable gland includes a bushing. The bushing may include a rib on an interior surface of the bushing to facilitate sealing and gripping of a cable received in the cable gland. The bushing may comprise or be formed from a silicone rubber material.

An electrical connection assembly includes an electrical box including a housing having an internal surface defining an internal volume of the housing. An electrical connector is positioned outside the internal volume of the housing and fixed to the housing with a fastener. The housing includes an aperture having an opening defining an insertion path extending from a location external to the housing along a frame of the electrical connector to a location within the internal volume of the housing. The assembly includes a disc mechanically secured to the housing relative to the opening to obstruct the insertion path. A retainer and a bushing including a membrane for the electrical connector as well as methods of making an electrical connector are also provided.

Disclosed is a while-in-use cover assembly for an electric wire box, having: a base having a front surface and a bottom surface; a lid that selectively covers the base front surface, wherein a first geometric shape is formed by a top profile of the lid, and the while-in-use cover assembly is confined to the first geometric shape when closed; and a ball-joint connecting the lid and the base, wherein the lid can pivot relative to the base, about the ball-joint, for positioning the lid against the base and away from the base, wherein: when the lid is positioned against the base the while-in-use cover assembly is closed; and when the lid is positioned away from the base, the while-in-use cover assembly is opened.

In an embodiment, a conduit connector can comprise: a body comprising a box engagement region capable of engaging an opening in an enclosure and a spring configured to engage the connector and the enclosure. The box engagement region can have a root surface, a leading tab, and a follower tab wherein the root surface and leading tab can be located between a leading edge and a secondary edge. A leading tab perimeter edge and a follower tab perimeter edge define a tab perimeter diameter that is larger than an opening in the enclosure. When the leading tab is inserted into the enclosure the spring can be disposed to engage the secondary edge and the enclosure.
