Described herein are techniques for employing a phrase as a unique identifier of a user and a corresponding user account. For instance, a transaction processing service may maintain multiple user accounts each associated with respective users. In addition, the transaction processing service may associate one or more unique phrases with each of these respective users and user accounts. Users may then configure rules associated with their respective user accounts to enable use of associated phrases as identifiers for storing a variety of different content in association with the phrases. Users may also configure their accounts with communication rules that instruct the transaction processing service to send pieces of content that are received with the phrase to different specified destinations. Users may also configure their accounts with preferences used by vendors to complete transactions initiated with use of a phrase.

Enforcing user-specified rules

Techniques for automatically approving transactions are described herein. These techniques may include determining whether a user who requested to conduct a transaction is the same user as a user that approves the transaction. If so, then the transaction may be approved. If not, then the approving user may be asked to provide authentication information in order to finish the approval process.

These techniques may include analyzing one or more sources to generate a first corpus of phrases, each of the phrases for use as an identifier and/or for association with a user. In some instances, the phrases suggested to a particular user are personalized to the user based on information previously known about the user or based on information provided by the user.

These techniques may include analyzing one or more sources to generate a statistically improbable phrase, determining words that compose the statistically improbable phrase, inputting the words into an index, and determine phrases associated with the words. Techniques for providing a single text field and multiple different types of user input modes for inputting information into the single text field are described herein. In some instances, a user may enter a first portion of text into the text field in a first user input mode before inputting a second portion of text into the field in a second user input mode. The techniques may enforce a first set of rules associated with the first user input mode while the user enters the first portion of text. The techniques may then enforce a second, different set of rules associated with the second user input mode while the user enters the second portion of text. As such, the techniques enable a user to provide two or more different pieces of information into a single text field.
