This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for operating a user equipment (UE) in a next generation (NG) radio access network (RAN) (NG-RAN) to validate a system information block (SIB) for non-public networks (NPNs). In one aspect, a UE receiving a SIB-one (SIB1) from a cell of the NG-RAN may determine whether the cell supports non-public networks (NPNs) based on the received SIB1. If so case, the UE may determine whether an NPN-identifier (NPN-ID) in the received SIB1 matches an NPN-ID of a SIB stored in memory. If so, the UE may validate the stored SIB based at least in part on the received SIB1. If not, the UE may invalidate the stored SIB and obtain a new SIB per standard procedures.

Enhancement to system information block (SIB) validity check for non-public networks (NPNs)

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for using a media access control (MAC) control element (CE) for dynamic RLC entities selection. In one aspect, a base station (BS) may generate and transmit the control message to a user equipment (UE) to identify active radio link control (RLC) entities, a primary RLC entity, or other parameters relating to packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) duplication-based communication. In this case, the UE may use the control message to select an RLC entity and may transmit protocol data units (PDUs) to the BS using a data radio bearer (DRB) and the selected RLC entity.

Methods, devices, and systems for processing uplink broadcast or multicast ('broadcast/multicast') packets from a user equipment (UE) and distributing the broadcast/multicast packets to other UEs in a network. In some aspects, a UE may receive, from a base station, a downlink packet comprising broadcast or multicast (broadcast/multicast) Ethernet data for a protocol data unit (PDU) session of the UE with a data network (DN) associated with the base station, determining whether the downlink packet corresponds to an uplink packet previously transmitted to the base station by the UE, discarding the downlink packet for the PDU session based on determining that the UE previously transmitted the corresponding uplink packet comprising the broadcast/multicast Ethernet data for the PDU session to the base station, and processing the downlink packet for the PDU session based on determining that the UE did not previously transmit the corresponding uplink packet.

Aspects for enhanced logical channel prioritization mapping procedures and restrictions are disclosed. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication includes transmitting, by a network entity, a logical channel prioritization (LCP) restriction configuration for a logical channel indicating a set of Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) configurations associated with the logical channel; determining, by the network entity, data of the logical channel of a particular UE is to be scheduled; transmitting, by the network entity, an uplink grant indicating an uplink grant instance for the particular UE, wherein the uplink grant instance indicates an SRS configuration of the set of SRS configurations; and receiving, by the network entity, a transmission corresponding to the uplink grant instance and including the data of the logical channel. LCP restriction enhancement

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process identifier for a communication between the UE and a base station using a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration or a configured grant (CG) configuration, wherein the determination of the HARQ process identifier is based at least in part on an offset applied for the determination of the HARQ process identifier; and perform the communication based at least in part on the HARQ process identifier. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In an example, a method includes a first node receiving a precision time protocol (PTP) message, identifying one or more timing domains to be supported by the first node based at least in part on the PTP message, and sending, to a second node of the wireless communication network, an indicator of the one or more timing domains to be supported by the first node. Another example at a node includes receiving, from additional nodes of the wireless communication network, indicators of one or more timing domains supported by the additional nodes, receiving a PTP message associated with a timing domain, and sending the PTP message to a subset of the additional nodes based at least in a part on the indicators of one or more timing domains supported by the additional nodes.

Wireless communication enhancements for transparent and boundary clocks

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Autonomous transmissions between a user equipment (UE) and a base station may be configured that include at least one of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) or resources for the transmissions. In some cases, a trigger may be detected that changes the MCS or resources to be used for the autonomous transmissions. The trigger may include the presence or absence of retransmissions or the value of a channel measurement falling below or exceeding a threshold value. Accordingly, the base station and UE may adjust the MCS or resources to be used for the autonomous transmissions based on detecting the trigger and then communicate using the adjusted MCS or resources. In some cases, the configuration for the autonomous transmissions may be signaled via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE).

Self-adapting autonomous transmission configuration

Generally, the described techniques provide for a device determining or receiving signaling including a packet delivery time window configuration that indicates delivery windows within which transmissions may be held and/or delivery opportunities within which communications are expected to be transmitted. For example, the device may identify a packet delivery time window configuration for communications with another device. The packet delivery window configuration may indicate a periodicity, offset, start time, end time, and/or duration of the delivery windows, among other information. Based on the identified packet delivery time window configuration, the device may delay transmission of the data packet (e.g., for the duration of one or more configured delivery windows). At, for example, the end of the respective delivery window, the device may deliver the data packet to a network device for which the information of the data packet is to be used.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for supporting multiple semi-persistent resource allocations per serving cell. Embodiments include determining an association between one or more semi-persistent resource allocations and one or more identifiers. Embodiments include receiving signaling indicating activation or deactivation of at least one of the one or more semi-persistent resource allocations. Embodiments include determining an identifier of the at least one of the one or more semi-persistent resource allocations based on the association. Embodiments include sending an acknowledgment of the activation or deactivation. The acknowledgment may indicate the identifier of the at least one of the one or more semi-persistent resource allocations.

A wireless communication system is provided allowing a base station to indicate RTT compensation for UEs to adjust their local time clocks to correct propagation delay timing errors and synchronize with the global clock of a base station. A base station sends a downlink transmission including timing information to a UE and receives an uplink transmission from the UE after the downlink transmission. The base station determines a RTT compensation associated with the timing information based on a RTT between the downlink transmission and the uplink transmission. The base station then transmits the RTT compensation to the UE. UEs are thus allowed to synchronize at a high precision with the time clock of the base station. UEs may be configured with different resolutions or granularities in timing correction so that certain UEs can achieve high precision timing correction while other UEs can adjust their time clocks with less precision.

Reference timing delivery to user equipment with propagation delay compensation

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for autonomous reference signal transmission configuration. Certain aspects provide a method of receiving a configuration message from the base station, wherein the configuration message comprises an indication of a set of candidate resources for transmitting the reference signal. Certain aspects provide a method of detecting a future downlink transmission from the base station, and other aspects provide a method of transmitting, in response to detecting the future downlink transmission, the reference signal utilizing a first resource of the set of candidate resources prior to receiving the future downlink transmission via a second resource in the set of candidate resources.
