Improved preparation process for supported catalyst systems, which comprise a specific class of metallocene complexes in combination with a boron containing cocatalyst and an aluminoxane cocatalyst and use of the new, improved catalyst system.

Preparation of catalyst system

A specific class of metallocene complexes in combination with a boron containing cocatalyst and an aluminoxane cocatalyst, its use for producing propylene homopolymers, propylene copolymers, especially with ethylene, as well as heterophasic propylene copolymers, preferably in a multistep process including a gas phase polymerization step.

Catalyst system

The present application relates to a polypropylene (PP) composition comprising a) 50.0 to 95.0 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the polypropylene (PP) composition, of a polypropylene (PP) homopolymer being polymerized in the presence of a single-site catalyst and b) 5.0 to 50.0 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the polypropylene (PP) composition, of a mineral filler, to an article comprising the polypropylene (PP) composition as well as the use of the polypropylene (PP) composition for improving the thermo-mechanical properties.

Improved preparation process for silica supported catalyst systems, which comprise a specific class of metallocene complexes in combination with a boron containing cocatalyst and an aluminoxane cocatalyst and use of the new, improved catalyst system.

Claimed are metallocene-complexes of formula (I) [formula (I')] wherein M is Hf or Zr, L is a bridge comprising 1-2 C- or Si-atoms, The other variables are as defined in the claims.

New bisindenyl ligand complexes and catalysts comprising those complexes. The invention is directed to improving the manufacturing of specific C1-symmetric bisindenyl complexes by modifying one of the indenyl ligands in order to improve the selectivity of the complex synthesis towards the desired anti-isomer, increase the yield and simplify the purification of the complex. The invention also relates to the use of the new bisindenyl metallocene catalysts for the production of polypropylene homopolymers or propylene copolymers.
