A system includes an infrared (IR) light source(s); IR camera(s); an optical combiner, wherein a set of IR-responsive markers are located in at least one of: (i) within the optical combiner, (ii) on a semi-reflective surface of the optical combiner; and processor(s) configured to: control the IR camera(s) to capture IR image(s) of the optical combiner, whilst controlling the IR light source(s) to emit IR light towards the optical combiner; detect at least a subset of the set of IR-responsive markers in the IR image(s); for a given IR-responsive marker detected in the IR image(s), determine a deformation in a shape of the given IR-responsive marker with respect to a reference shape; and determine a curvature of the optical combiner, based on respective deformations in shapes of IR-responsive markers in at least said subset.

Calibrating heads-up display using infrared-responsive markers

An autostereoscopic display includes a pixel array and a multiscopic optical element. The pixel array includes a plurality of pixel rows, each of the plurality of pixel rows being aligned along an X-axis of the autostereoscopic display. The multiscopic optical element comprises a plurality of multiscopic cells () and lies on an XY plane of the autostereoscopic display. Each of the plurality of multiscopic cells has a longitudinal axis (P-Q) aligned along a Y-axis of the autostereoscopic display. In a given set of consecutive pixel rows, a starting position of a given pixel row is horizontally offset relative to a starting position of a preceding pixel row. The horizontal offset is represented along the X-axis.

An electronic device comprising a first portion and a second portion pivotably connected to each other is disclosed. The electronic device is pivotable between a closed position and an open position. The device comprises a magnetically attractable arrangement within or on the second portion and a magnetic arrangement comprising a magnet having a magnetic field and a magnetic shielding element disposed within or on the first portion. At least one of the magnet or the magnetic shielding element is configured to move translationally with respect to the other between a shielded position and an engaging position when the first portion is pivoted with respect to the second portion. In the shielded position, the magnetic shielding element at least partially reduces a portion of the magnetic field extending outside of the first portion. In the engaging position, the magnet engages the magnetically attractable arrangement.

The imaging device comprises a movable image sensor; a circuit board connected to the image sensor; an optical module comprising a lens group on an optical axis, the optical module being movable along the optical axis between at least a retracted position and an extended position. The device also includes an activating actuator configured to move the movable image sensor and the circuit board in a plane between an active position and an inactive position. In the active position the image sensor is stacked under the optical module on the optical axis, and the optical module is in an extended position. In the inactive position the image sensor is positioned off the optical axis and away from the optical module, and the optical module is in a retracted position.

A plug receptacle comprises a receptacle housing having a passage configured to receive at least a part of a plug of a plug connector, a front side having a first opening and a top side having a second, elongated opening that intersects the first opening, the passage opening to the front side via the first opening and to the top side via the second opening. The plug receptacle comprises at least one plug receptacle cover that is configured to move between a cover position and an elevated position. In the cover position, the at least one plug receptacle cover covers the second opening at least partially. In the elevated position, the at least one plug receptacle cover is elevated outwards along its entire length, so that the at least the part of the plug partially extends through the second opening.

Technologies are described for shielding electronic components. In one embodiment, a conductive gasket includes a gasket body. A conductive shield has a plurality of projections extending therefrom sufficient to deform the gasket body to couple the conductive shield and the conductive gasket together. The projections can be pointed teeth designed for penetrating the conductive gasket so as to electrically and mechanically couple the conductive shield to the conductive gasket. The conductive gasket can be stacked onto the conductive shield to form a sidewall, which can be mounted on a PCB. A conductive cover can then be placed on the conductive gasket to create a cavity in which electronic components can be positioned.

A plug receptacle is disclosed, comprising a receptacle housing having a passage configured to receive at least a part of a plug of a plug connector, a front side having a first opening and a top side having a second, elongated opening that intersects the first opening, the passage opening to the front side via the first opening and to the top side via the second opening. The plug receptacle also comprises at least one plug receptacle cover that is reversibly extendable between a cover position and an open position. In the cover position, the at least one plug receptacle cover covers the second opening at least partially. In the open position, at least a part of the at least one plug receptacle cover is extended outwards, so that the at least the part of the plug partially extends through the second opening.
