A system that monitors user activity includes a wrist device including a curved body and an electronic circuitry supported by the body. The electronic circuitry includes a first set of light emitting diodes arranged in a matrix form and forming a display unit, at least one motion sensor configured to measure physical motion caused by a user to the wrist device, and at least one processor configured to acquire motion measurement data from the at least one motion sensor, to process the motion measurement data into a motion activity metric, and to cause the display unit to display the motion activity metric. The at least one processor is further configured to acquire heart activity measurement data from a heart activity sensor, to process the heart activity measurement data into a heart activity metric, and to cause the display unit to display the heart activity metric.

System for monitoring physical activity

A system for processing heart rate measurement data measured during a physical exercise of a user. The system includes a server computer configured to: associate, during a registration procedure for a measurement device of a user, a device identifier of the measurement device with a user account of the user stored in the server computer; receive a device identifier and real-time heart rate measurement data over a network connection; identify the user's measurement device from the received device identifier; and store the received heart rate measurement data to the user account of the user on the basis of the association between the received device identifier and the corresponding user account.

Transfer of measurement data related to physical exercise

There is provided a server computer system configured to acquire recorded exerise data of an exercise performed by an exeriser; acquire recorded location data of the exercise, wherein the location data depicts a route travlled during the exerise; acquire a map of an area which comprises the trivlled route; generate the dynamic execise presentation on the basis of the exercise data andthe location data, wherein the dynamic exercise presentation comprises: displaying the exercise data as a function of the location data on a display having the map as a background, and automatically moving a pointer on the display along the traveled route on the basis of the location data such that the moving pointer depocts the location of the exerciser on the travlled route as the exercise advances; and cause a display of the exercise presentation on the display via a network.

Displaying exercise data

There is provided an exercise monitoring device, comprising: a display configured to display exercise data with respect to a plurality of exercisers during a group exercise session. The exercise monitoring device is caused to: receive a signal wirelessly from each of a plurality of exercise sensors, wherein each exercise sensor measures the exercise data with respect to an exerciser carrying the respective exercise sensor; perform sorting of the plurality of exercise sensors at least partly on the basis of the received signals during the group exercise session; and display the exercise data on the display on the basis of the sorting during the group exercise session.

Arranging data for display

A system for processing heart rate measurement data includes a server computer configured to: associate, during a registration procedure for a measurement device of a user, a device identifier of the measurement device with a user account of the user stored in the server computer; receive a device identifier and real-time heart rate measurement data over a network connection; identify the user's measurement device from the received device identifier; store the received heart rate measurement data to the user account of the user on the basis of the association between the received device identifier and the corresponding user account; compute, repeatedly during the physical exercise from the received heart rate measurement data, advanced performance data comprising at least one value which accumulates during the physical exercise; and transmit the computed advanced performance data to the equipment interface unit over the network connection during the physical exercise.

A method, system, measurement device and receiving device for providing feedback relating to an activity to at least one individual. In the method, activity information relating to an activity is measured with a measurement device. Activity information is transmitted to a receiving device via a communication link. The receiving device selects from the received activity information a predefined set of pieces of activity information and provides the at least one individual with feedback based on the selected activity information.

Method, system, measurement device and receiving device for providing feedback

A method, a dynamic user interface and an electronic device for generating user-detectable multi-functional feedback using a single component in response to a stimulus signal. One or more resonating vibrating elements, such for example as a piezo-bender, are attached to a selected component of the electronic device. Because sensory feedback in the form of a haptic feedback signal, a buzzer signal, a vibratory alert signal and an audio signal are all generatable using such a piezo-element attached for example to a lens or housing of the device, a significant decrease in the space needed and in the required power consumption as compared to prior art devices, in which different feedback signals are generated using separate components, is realized.

A method and apparatus for measuring the sway of a subject standing on a floor by transforming the motion of a stick capable of tilting in any direction coupled to the subject, wherein the motion of the body is transmitted to the stick, and the motion of the stick is detected. Motion of the stick is measured by an angle detector positioned close to its lower end.
