A goggle system is provided. The goggle system includes a computing device, a goggle device configured to be worn by a user and including a detector configured to simultaneously acquire image data of a subject in a first image mode and a second image mode, at least one eye assembly configured to display at least one of an image in the first image mode, an image in the second image mode, and a hybrid image including pixels of image data from the first image mode and pixels of image data from the second image mode, and a communications module configured to transmit acquired image data from the goggle device to the computing device.

Among the various aspects of the present disclosure is the provision of systems or methods for polarization division multiplexed (PDM) optical transmission. For example, the PDM optical transmission system can comprise a chip with one or more aluminum nanowire filters attached to the surface of the chip, such as division of focal Plane (DoFP) polarimeter filter array bonded on the receiver IC.

A multispectral imaging sensor includes at least one superpixel including a plurality of pixels. Each pixel includes an imaging element, and each imaging element includes at least one photodetector. Each pixel further includes a spectral filter associated with the imaging element. The spectral filter permits light to pass to its associated imaging element only within a plurality of passbands.
