A hydraulic unit of a pump for pumping liquid comprising solid matter, the hydraulic unit comprising a housing and an impeller seat, the housing having an axial inlet opening and an outlet opening, and the impeller seat having an axial inlet defined by an inlet wall. The impeller seat has an inlet radius (R) measured from an axially extending centre axis (A) to a circular intersection between the inlet wall and the upper surface of the impeller seat, and the impeller seat comprises a guide pin connected to and extending radially inwards from the inlet wall. The guide pin has a tip radius (r) measured from an axially extending centre axis (A) to the radially innermost part of the guide pin, and has a guide pin angle (μ) defined between a cut water line of a cut water and a radius of the impeller seat.

Pump and hydraulic unit of a pump

An impeller seat for a pump, the impeller seat comprising an inlet wall, an inlet radius, and a guide pin connected to and extending radially inwards from the inlet wall. The guide pin includes a tip radius. A 40%-circle is offset radially inwards from a circular intersection forty percent of the difference between the inlet radius and the tip radius. The guide pin comprises a leading edge configured for scraping off pollutants from an impeller of the pump, and, at least between the inlet wall and the 40%-circle, comprises a pre-leading edge located upstream the leading edge of the guide pin, seen in the direction of rotation of the pump and seen in an axial direction.

An impeller seat for a pump, the impeller seat comprising an inlet wall, an inlet radius, a guide pin connected to and extending radially inwards from the inlet wall, and a feeding groove arranged in the upper surface of the impeller seat, extending from the inlet wall to the periphery of the impeller seat. The guide pin includes a tip radius. A 15%-circle is offset radially inwards from a circular intersection fifteen percent of the difference between the inlet radius and the tip radius. A groove inlet upstream edge line of the impeller seat intersects an upstream edge of the feeding groove at the circular intersection, seen in the direction of rotation of the pump. A groove inlet upstream edge angle between a radius of the impeller seat intersecting an upstream edge of the guide pin at the 15%-circle, seen in the direction of rotation of the pump.

Impeller seat for a pump

An impeller seat for a pump, the impeller seat comprising an inlet wall, an inlet radius, a guide pin connected to and extending radially inwards from the inlet wall. The guide pin includes a tip radius. A 15%-circle is offset radially inwards from a circular intersection fifteen percent of the difference between the inlet radius and the tip radius. An 85%-circle is offset radially inwards from the circular intersection eighty-five percent of the difference between the inlet radius and the tip radius. A trailing edge line is between the intersection between the 15%-circle and a trailing edge of the guide pin and the intersection between the 85%-circle and the trailing edge of the guide pin. The trailing edge line is in a range equal to or more than 10 degrees and equal to or less than 30 degrees.

Pump

In a first aspect the invention relates to an intake device () for creating a uniform flow of liquid entering a pump (), which flow of liquid is free from rotation and swirls about the inlet of said pump. The inlet device () comprises an inlet section () having an orifice () and a decreasing cross section area seen in the direction from said orifice () for gradually accelerating a flow of pumped liquid, a redirection section () for redirecting the flow of pumped liquid from a mainly horizontal direction to a mainly vertical direction, and an outlet section () arranged to be connected to an inlet () of a pump (). The device is characterized in that at least a part of a circumferential wall edge of said inlet section () extending around said orifice () comprises a bevel (). In a second aspect the invention also relates to a pump station comprising such an intake device.
