An analog switch includes a first field effect transistor (FET) which has a first terminal coupled to an input voltage terminal, a second terminal coupled to a common source, and a control terminal coupled to a common gate. The switch includes a second FET which has a first terminal coupled to an output voltage terminal, a second terminal coupled to the common source, and a control terminal coupled to the common gate. The switch includes a switched current source which has an input coupled to a high voltage supply terminal and an output coupled to the common gate. The switch includes a clamp circuit which has a first terminal coupled to the common gate, a second terminal coupled to the common source, and a third terminal coupled to the low voltage supply terminal.

This disclosure generally relates to repeaters, and, in particular, repeaters for open-drain systems. In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a first port, a second port, a current detector, a transistor, and a control logic circuit. A current detector input of the current detector is coupled to the first port. A transistor channel electrode of the transistor is coupled to the second port. A control logic circuit input of the control logic circuit is coupled to the current detector output, and a control logic circuit output of the control logic circuit is coupled to a transistor control electrode of the transistor.

Repeater for an open-drain communication system using a current detector and a control logic circuit

A circuit for detecting and correcting timing errors. A timing circuit includes an interpolator. The interpolator includes a fine counter, a coarse counter, and stop correction logic. The coarse counter is incremented by a rollover output of the fine counter to generate a coarse count value. The stop correction logic is coupled to the fine counter and the coarse counter. The stop correction logic divides each cycle of the rollover output into first, second, and third time intervals, and selects a coarse counter output value to represent a time interval measured by the coarse counter based on a one of the first, second, and third intervals in which a time measurement stop signal is detected.

Circuit for detecting and correcting timing errors

Self-grounded circuitry () includes a signal channel conducting an output voltage (V). A charge pump () powered by a reference voltage (V) produces a control voltage (V). The control signal is at a low level if the reference voltage is low and is boosted to a high level if the reference voltage is high. A ground switch circuit () includes a depletion mode transistor (MP) having a source coupled to the output voltage, a gate coupled to the control voltage, and a drain coupled to ground. The transistor includes a well region (-) and a parasitic substrate diode (D-). A negative voltage protection circuit (-) includes a depletion mode first protection transistor (MP-) having a drain coupled to the well region, a source coupled to a source of a depletion mode second protection transistor (MP-) having a drain coupled to the output voltage, the first and second protection transistors each having a gate coupled to the control voltage, and also includes a diode (MN) coupled to charge the well region from the control voltage conductor to prevent distortion of the output voltage.

Negative audio signal voltage protection circuit and method for audio ground circuits

Back-emf for a motor is measured by measuring a voltage across the input terminals for a two terminal input actuator or motor when a high frequency driver having a recirculation phase for the motor applies an instantaneous high frequency zero voltage during normal operation of the driver. By a further approach, current across the two terminal input is measured such that the measurement can be taken when the current crosses a given threshold near zero.
