The various embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for uplink scheduling schemes for low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite based Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN). According to an embodiment, a zone-based scheduling (ZBS) scheme is described where the coverage area may be divided into a plurality of zones and independent scheduling-offsets may be allocated for each of the zones. The ZBS scheme improves upon the overall user latency by reducing the K2 and cell offset delay for low-propagation delay users within the NTN cells. At the same time, the impact of differential doppler may also be mitigated with such a zone-based allcoation strategy.

Methods for scheduling uplink transmissions for non-terrestrial networks

Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method for scheduling shared physical resource blocks (PRBs) by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless network and minimizing/reducing contention on the shared PRBs. The method includes: receiving PRBs from a network device, where the PRBs are shared among multiple UEs in the wireless network; detecting data at the UE for transmission; determining a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), a number of PRBs, and a size of a transport block required for data transmission in response to detecting the data; self-scheduling the shared PRBs based on at least one of the determined MCS, the number of PRBs, and the size of the transport block; and sending the data based on the self-scheduling along with self-scheduling information to the network device.

Method and system for resource selection and contention resolution in shared resource mechanism

The present subject matter refers methods and systems to determine location for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The method comprises receiving information from a network entity, the information indicating that the plurality of terrestrial UEs form a cluster, determining whether at least one of a plurality of predefined events is triggered. The method comprises determining the location of the UAV by: receiving cluster information related to the cluster, determining circular trajectory of the cluster using the cluster information, receiving a first average data rate of the cluster at each of a plurality of locations along a circumference of the circular trajectory, determining an optimal down-tilt angle and an optimal bearing angle of an antenna panel of the UAV, and determining the location of the UAV based on the optimal down-tilt angle and the optimal bearing angle.

Method and apparatus to determine location for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)

The present disclosure provides methods and systems for allocation of contention based data transmission (CBDT) resource blocks in a non-terrestrial network. The method comprises: determining if the CBDT resource blocks are to be configured for allocation to a plurality of user equipments (UEs) based on at least one of a plurality of parameters. The method comprises determining if a fixed number of CBDT resource blocks from the CBDT resource blocks are to be used for the allocation based on the determination using at least one of the plurality of parameters. The method comprises allocating a number of CBDT resource blocks in one of a fixed manner or a dynamic manner, wherein the number of CBDT resource blocks are allocated in the fixed manner, based on the fixed numbers of CBDT resource blocks being used for the allocation, and the number of CBDT resource blocks are allocated in the dynamic manner, based on the fixed numbers of CBDT resource blocks not being used for the allocation.

Methods and systems for allocation of contention based data transmission resources in a non-terrestrial network

A multi Transmission Reception Point (TRP) system is provided. The system includes a User Equipment (UE), a core network, a plurality of cells, and a Transmission Reception Point (TRP) controller (TRP-C). The core network is defined by a Centralized or Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN). The plurality of cells where each of which is connected to the UE. Each cell includes at least one TRP of a number of TRPs. The TRP-C is connected to the core network, or cloud network or virtual network and to at least one TRP of the number of TRPs in each cell of the plurality of cell. The TRP-C is configured to determine the number of TRPs required for each cell of the plurality of cells to serve the UE.

Multi transmission reception point (TRP) system and method thereof

The present disclosure relates to wireless communication system and more particularly relates to the design of handover procedures for multi TRP system for a mobile station and other devices. Multi TRP per cell or cell less or cell free architecture removes the boundaries of the cell. A method of handover for a UE in a multi TRP system comprising selecting a set of candidate TRPs for the UE for a handover operation and receiving a measurement report from the UE. The source node determines a trigger for handover of the UE in response to the measurement report and compares a configuration of the source node with a configuration of a candidate TRP from the set of candidate TRPs. The source node triggers a handover command to perform a handover operation for the UE with at least one candidate TRP based on a result of the comparison.
