The disclosed embodiments provide a system that improves usage of an application. During operation, the system identifies, in a set of social media posts, a question related to use of the application. Next, the system responds to the set of social media posts with a set of answers to the question on one or more social media platforms and tracks social media responses to the set of answers. The system then calculates a set of relevance scores for the answers based on the tracked social media responses, wherein each relevance score represents a relevance of one of the answers to the question. Upon identifying the question in a subsequent social media post, the system selects an answer from the set of answers based on a relevance score of the answer and posts the answer in response to the subsequent social media post.

A computer-implemented method for collaboratively preparing an electronic tax return includes a host computer receiving a request from a first user for a collaborative tax preparation session through tax preparation software utilized by the first user to prepare an electronic tax return. The method also includes the host computer sending a message through a second network to a second computing device of a second user, inviting the second user to participate in the collaborative tax preparation session with the first user. The method further includes the host computer receiving a reply from the second computing device, including agreement by the second user to participate in the session. Moreover, the method includes the host computer establishing the collaborative tax preparation session. During the collaborative tax preparation session, the host computer receives tax-related information from the second computing device, and sends the received tax-related information to the first computing device.

Methods, systems and computer program products for collaborative tax return preparation

Systems, methods and articles of manufacture for delivering website content to an internet user which is personalized to the user based on a persona associated with the user. A persona database system accesses personal and financial data for the user from any suitable source, such as from a tax return of the user or personal finance management application or even a questionnaire. The persona database system matches the user's data to a persona for the user from a predetermined, discrete set of personas, wherein each persona identifies a generalized profile of personal and financial characteristics of the user. Then, when a user access a website hosted by a website server, the website server accesses the persona for the user from the persona database system and the website server personalizes the website content delivered to the user based on the persona for the user.
