In response to detecting completion of a transactional agreement to have the second device delivered to and exchanged for the first device of a user, the network device communicates, via a communications subsystem of the network device, a backup request to the first device for user data that is currently stored on the first device. The network device receives, from the first device in response to the backup request, identification information associated with the first device and metadata associated with the user data to be backed up. The network device triggers delivery of the second device and pickup of the first device at a time corresponding to after completion of the backup of the user data to a network storage.

In response to a next line transitioning condition (e.g., reaching an end of a current row or detection of a return keystroke received via the text input device), the extendable display is triggered to upwardly extend by an increment corresponding to vertical dimensions of a line spacing and font size of the characters associated with the top horizontal row. Presentation of the virtual typing sheet and the top horizontal row at the corresponding line spacing are upwardly adjusted to insert a new lateral row for presenting keystrokes.

The device generates a set of natural language responses to the communication for the user based at least in part on this association. The device displays the set of natural language responses and receives user selection of one of the natural language responses, then sends the selected natural language response to at least the other device.
