An electronic device, method, and computer program product imitate a typewriter. A top horizontal row of a virtual typing sheet is presented on an upper portion of an extendable display. Keystrokes received by a text input device are monitored and corresponding characters are presented across the top horizontal row of virtual typing sheet. In response to a next line transitioning condition (e.g., reaching an end of a current row or detection of a return keystroke received via the text input device), the extendable display is triggered to upwardly extend by an increment corresponding to vertical dimensions of a line spacing and font size of the characters associated with the top horizontal row. Presentation of the virtual typing sheet and the top horizontal row at the corresponding line spacing are upwardly adjusted to insert a new lateral row for presenting keystrokes.

In aspects of rollable screen device voice call management, a mobile device includes a rollable display screen configurable in one of multiple display states corresponding to respective device form factors, such as a compact form factor, an expanded form factor, and a partial form factor. A slidable display mount is operable to extend or retract the rollable display screen into one of the multiple display states corresponding to a device form factor. The mobile device includes an earpiece that emanates audio during a voice call, and the earpiece is integrated with the rollable display screen and/or the slidable display mount. The mobile device implements a configuration manager that initiates the slidable display mount for configuration of the rollable display screen to movably position the earpiece during the voice call, such as relative to a mouthpiece of the mobile device.

In aspects of rollable screen simultaneous use, a mobile device includes a rollable display screen configurable in one of multiple display states, including a front-facing portion of the rollable display screen and at least one rear-facing portion of the rollable display screen. The mobile device implements a configuration manager that adjusts content displayed for viewing on the front-facing portion of the rollable display screen based at least in part on a touch actuation to a selectable control on the rear-facing portion of the rollable display screen.

A device receives an electronic communication from another device, such as an email. The communication is addressed to multiple recipients and the device determines an association of content in the communication to a user of the device. This association of content to a user can be determined in various manners, such as by identifying one of multiple portions of the communication that is directed to the user rather than other recipients of the communication, determining whether the user is a primary recipient or a secondary recipient of the communication, and so forth. The device generates a set of natural language responses to the communication for the user based at least in part on this association. The device displays the set of natural language responses and receives user selection of one of the natural language responses, then sends the selected natural language response to at least the other device.
