A controller generates a software pipeline in response to obtaining an instruction to build the software pipeline for a first user. The controller divides the software pipeline into a plurality of tasks and determining a set of resources for performing each task in the plurality of tasks. The controller reserves the set of resources based on a policy associated with the first user. The controller causes the first software pipeline to run using the set of resources reserved for performing each task in the plurality of tasks.

Automated construction of software pipeline

A consumer of a software module issues a module certificate that enables a testing entity to automatically validate a software module from a producer of the software module. The consumer receives a request for a module certificate from the producer of the software module. The request indicates attributes of the software module. The consumer determines whether the attributes of the software module are within predetermined limits, and if the attributes are within predetermined limits, the consumer generates and signs the module certificate including the attributes of the software module. The consumer issues the module certificate to the producer of the software module. Once the consumer obtains a software package including the software module and the module certificate from the producer, the consumer directs a testing entity to validate the software module with the module certificate.

Automated validation and authentication of software modules

Techniques for quantitative converged network assessment are described. Performance information, associated with network infrastructure elements and application or service elements of a computer network, is received. One or more key performance indicators of a reference network architecture are compared with at least a portion of the performance information. A plurality of first scores is determined based on the comparison of the one or more key performance indicators and at least a portion of the performance information. Based on the plurality of first scores, a single second score is determined that indicates a converged state of the computer network with respect to the reference network architecture.

Quantitative management assessments of data communication networks with converged architectures

A system and method to automatically configure packet classification at a customer edge network device connecting a customer network to a service provider network. The method may comprise accessing the IP header of a packet received from the customer network to identify a customer service level classification of the packet. A memory may be accessed to retrieve service provider packet classification data identifying classes of service provided to the customer network. The packet classification of the service provider with the associated customer classification is associated and mapped, whereafter the Ethernet header of the packet may be populated with the mapped service provider packet classification.

Method and system to configure quality of service in a network

In one embodiment, a method includes monitoring a first current status of a communication link coupling a first health-presence unit at a first physical location to a second health-presence unit at a second physical location remote from the first physical location for a remote health-service session. The remote health-service session includes a health-service provider at the second physical location providing a health service to a patient at the first physical location. The method includes monitoring a second current status of the health device of the first health-presence unit and communicating data indicating the first current status and the second current status to the second health-presence unit for presentation to the health-service provider to facilitate assessment by the health-service provider of a usefulness of the health device to the health-service provider during the health-service session in light of the first or second current status.

In an example embodiment, a method of service discovery and correlation is provided. In example embodiments, a network management system discovers, categorizes, and stores data on network elements (e.g., devices, provisioning, relationships, protocols, and topology) in a carrier network. Using a unique set of rules, relational groupings based on the discovered network elements may be created. The relational groupings, in turn, facilitate creation of a centralized carrier service view. By correlating the results of the discovery process with the centralized carrier service view, fault management, availability of service, and other observations of services can be deduced.
