A cellular network element of a cellular network may receive a request to revoke authorization of a wireless device that is an element in an unmanned aerial system. The cellular network element may provide an indication to the wireless device to disconnect from any other elements of the unmanned aerial system based at least in part on the request to revoke authorization.

Techniques and wireless devices to perform adaptive measurement object prioritization in a cellular communication scenario. A wireless link is established by the wireless device with a serving cell of a cellular base station. Adaptive measurement object prioritization is implemented responsive to determining that a trigger condition has occurred. A configuration message is received from the base station, where the configuration indicates a plurality of measurement objects including both Long Term Evolution (LTE) and New Radio (NR) measurement objects. A first measurement object of the plurality of measurement objects is selected to prioritize for measurement. A Public Land Mobile Network includes a network slice quota (NSQ) node to implement a quota on the number of user equipments (UEs) or (UE, PDU_Session) pairs that may be registered on a network slice. An access and mobility management function (AMF) queries the NSQ on whether quota is available for registration of a UE on a network slice in response to a notification of successful authorization and/or authentication (AAA) of the UE. Alternatively, the AMF may preemptively capture one or more units of network slice quota for the UE prior to initiation of the AAA procedure. The AMF may start a timer after UE deregistration is initiated, and not relinquish the quota unit held by the UE until after the timer's expiration. The network may also include a session management function (SMF) that provides UE identification as well as PDU Session ID when requesting registration of a UE.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for SoR list management and PLMN selection based on an SoR list. A UE may receive an SoR container which may include a list of OPLMNs. The UE may store a prior list of OPLMNs stored on a USIM of the UE on a memory of the UE. The UE replace the prior list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM with the list of OPLMNs included in the SoR container. The UE may consider the prior list of OPLMNs as a lower priority list as compared to the list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM. Apparatuses, systems, and methods for UL traffic throughput enhancements in NSA deployments. A UE may determine that an UL data requirement is substantially greater than a DL data requirement. The UE may perform an UL enhancement procedure based on UL enhancement conditions. The UL enhancement conditions may include determining that a master cell group does or does not operate according to LTE, determining that UL data traffic is only carried via LTE bands or that UL data traffic is split between LTE bands and NR bands, determining that UL carrier aggregation is or is not available, and/or determining that blind secondary cell group addition is supported or is not support by a network. When performing dynamic offloading, the UE may obtain (collect and/or receive) information regarding channel conditions, cellular network parameters or application requirements and dynamically determine whether a task of the application executing on the UE should be offloaded to an edge server or executed locally on the UE. In making decisions between offloaded or local execution, the UE may use a utility function that takes into account factors such as relative differences in application latency, energy consumption and offloading cost.

A client device in a wireless network accesses a queue comprising Transmission Control Protocol Acknowledgement (TCP ACK) packets. At least some packets include packet descriptors with a flow identifier indicating a corresponding TCP flow, and a TCP ACK Generation Count. The device inspects a packet descriptor of a first TCP ACK packet, and identifies a first flow identifier and a first TCP ACK Generation Count. The device accesses entries in a data structure that each includes a first field and a second field respectively storing a flow identifier and a TCP ACK Generation Count. The device determines that a condition is satisfied, comprising that an entry in the data structure includes a flow identifier and a TCP ACK Generation Count matching the first flow identifier and the first TCP ACK Generation Count, respectively. In response to the determination, the device marks the first TCP ACK packet to be dropped.

Systems and methods for managing transmission control protocol (TCP) acknowledgements

The UE detects multiple networks during a public land mobile network (PLMN) scan, wherein the multiple networks include one or more PLMNs and one or more stand-alone non-public networks (SNPNs), generates a manual network selection list that includes at least i) the one or more PLMNs or ii) the one or more SNPNs, determines a sequence in which entries of the manual network selection list are to be displayed at the UE, displays a graphical user interface (GUI) that includes a representation of the manual network selection list and registers with one of the multiple networks in response to user input.

Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) and/or cellular network to perform to perform capability updates. Under at least some circumstances, the UE may use a non-cellular (e.g., non-3GPP) access to transmit updated capability information to a cellular network. Elements of the core of the cellular network may provide an identifier corresponding to the updated capability information to the UE for use in future registrations with the cellular network. Further, the core network may provide the updated capability information to a cellular radio access network associated the cellular network. The UE and the cellular network may communicate according to the updated capability.

A wireless device may connect, using a first subscriber identity module (SIM), to a first base station according to a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second base station according to a second RAT. This application describes methods and apparatus to manage data transport across multiple radio links for 5G-capable wireless devices. Under certain criteria, including performance of at least one radio link, a mobility state of a 5G-capable wireless device, and data transport requirements for a latency sensitive application session, the 5G-capable wireless device sends buffer status report (BSR) requests for one or more both of the radio links to prioritize and transition uplink (UL) data between radio links before a measurement reporting threshold is met. In some embodiments, the 5G-capable wireless device proactively sends BSR requests for radio resources before the UL data is generated by the latency sensitive application session. In some embodiments, the 5G-capable wireless device duplicates UL data for the latency sensitive application session across multiple radio links.
