Currently, the MIMO MAC-CEs have been designed to support only one component carrier. Aspects described herein provide MAC-CEs and RRC signaling, which may facilitate efficient spatial and beam change indications for multiple component carriers. A UE may be configured to receive a configuration for each of a plurality of carriers. The UE may be configured to receive control information in a MAC-CE. The control information may comprise at least one of a TCI state, an CSI-RS resource configuration, or an SRS resource configuration. The UE may be further configured to determine whether the control information applies to multiple carriers from among the plurality of carriers. The UE may be configured to apply the control information to at least one of the plurality of carriers based on a determination of whether the control information applies to multiple carriers from among the plurality of carriers.

Enhanced MAC-CE and RRC IE for multi-carrier configurations

A MSIM UE may perform network operations for each network subscription. However, if the MSIM UE employs subscriptions for the same network, these operations may be performed redundantly. By notifying the network of multiple subscriptions at the UE and associating the multiple subscriptions at the network, the present invention provides power-saving at the UE and reduces network signaling overhead by optimizing communication for MSIM UE. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to indicate to a network that the UE is associated with a plurality of network subscriptions, the plurality of network subscriptions including at least a first network subscription and a second network subscription, transmit location information using the first network subscription to the network, wherein the location information corresponds to a UE location, and receive data associated with the second subscription from the network.

Location update optimizations for intra-PLMN multi-SIM UEs

A MSIM UE may perform various network operations for each network subscription. However, if the MSIM UE employs subscriptions for different network operators, the UE may need to periodically tune away for an active data transmission. Such tune-away may cause the UE to miss scheduled communications from the network. Aspects of the present invention are directed to a mechanism by which a UE can notify a base station of the MSIM state, and thereby allow the network to improve scheduling for the UE to allow for periodic tune-away by the UE with minimal impact on scheduled communications. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may by a UE, such as MSIM UE. The apparatus may be configured to determine that the UE is associated with one or more network subscriptions, and transmit a subscription indication to a network device, wherein the subscription indication identifies a subscription state of the UE to the network.

A multi-SIM UE may perform network SIB acquisition for each network subscription. However, if the multi-SIM UE employs subscriptions for the same network these operations may be performed redundantly. By identifying that the UE is employing multiple subscriptions, the UE and network can perform a single SIB acquisition for multiple subscriptions, which reduces power consumption and optimize network signaling overhead. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a first set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) for a first subscription of the UE and a second set of SSBs for a second subscription of the UE; select a first SSB, from the first set of SSBs, for communications of the first subscription; identify a third set of SSBs by modifying the second set of SSBs to remove one or more SSBs from the second set of SSBs, at least one SSB of the one or more SSBs overlapping in time with the first SSB; select a second SSB from the third set of SSBs; and monitor the second SSB for paging messages of the second subscription. A user equipment determines a signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) for each channel of a plurality of channels associated with cells maintained in an active set. A spurious DPCH has the lowest SIR among the plurality of channels.
