In some implementations, a first device may connect to a network, wherein the first device is associated with a first application that is associated with a service provider. The first device may detect that a second device connected to the network is associated with a second application that is associated with the service provider. The first device may receive, from the second device, identification information associated with the second device. The first device may transmit, to a third device associated with the service provider, the identification information associated with the second device. The first device may receive, from the third device, authentication information permitting the first application to operate on the network based on the third device receiving the identification information associated with the second device.

Systems and methods for authenticating users for subscribed services

User Equipment ('UEs') associated with a conference may automatically join the conference (e.g., in situations where the teleconference is a scheduled teleconference or other suitable situations). As discussed below, when automatically joining a teleconference in such a manner, the UE may refrain from sending conference-related information (e.g., captured audio, video, etc.) to a teleconferencing system or to other participants of the teleconference until a user of the UE selects to join the teleconference. In this manner, control signaling or other setup procedures may be performed prior to the user selecting to join the teleconference, thus reducing the amount of time spent to perform such signaling or procedures after the user has indicated readiness to join the teleconference.

Systems and methods for seamless audiovisual teleconferencing

A method includes receiving, at route recommendation server device, travel data associated with a plurality of mobile devices. The method includes indexing segments of a plurality of routes based on a corresponding number of users of each of the plurality of segments, and receiving a recommendation request from a particular mobile device. The recommendation request includes a starting point and a destination for a trip. The method also includes identifying a plurality of routes between the starting point and the destination based on the travel data, and providing at least one recommendation for a recommended route based on a relative popularity of the recommended route among a number of users that use each of the plurality of routes.

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium provide to determine whether a user of the user device is being transported by a vehicle; determine whether any of multiple events pertaining to a message application is detected in response to a determination that the user is being transported by the vehicle; obtain input characteristic data attributed to the user in response to a determination that any of the multiple events is detected; determine whether the user is a driver of the vehicle based on the input characteristic data; and block receipt of an inbound message and a creation of an outbound message in response to a determination that the user is the driver of the vehicle.

A user device may determine that an environmental parameter, sensed by the user device, satisfies a condition, and may detect an emergency based on detecting that the environmental parameter satisfies the condition. The user device may output, via the user device, an alarm notification, and may determine whether an input is received by the user device to cancel the alarm notification. The user device may notify an emergency device when the user device determines that input is not received by the user device to cancel the alarm notification.

Automated detection of an emergency by a user device

A network device receives battery status signals for multiple mobile devices and receives a notification of an incoming call from a calling device to a particular mobile device. The network device determines if a battery status, from the battery status signals, is available for the particular mobile device and provides, to the calling device, a challenge to solicit a categorization of the incoming call as important or not important when a battery status is available for the particular mobile device. The network device receives, from the calling device, a response to the challenge, wherein the response includes the categorization of the incoming call. The network device connects the incoming call from the calling device to the particular mobile device when the categorization of the incoming call is important.

Low battery indication for callers to mobile device

A method may include identify an application launched in a device by a user or a program or a channel selected by the user for playing. The method may further include querying a database to determine whether the application, program, or channel is associated with preset volume settings, wherein the database includes information identifying preset volume settings for a plurality of applications, a plurality of programs, or a plurality of channels. The method may include setting, when the application, program, or channel is associated with preset volume settings, the volume according the preset volume settings during execution of the application or playing of the program or channel. The method may also include prompting the user to set volume settings associated with the application, program, or channel when the application is not associated with the preset volume settings.

Volume customization

A method including receiving a request to start recording a sequence of navigational inputs to be received by a user device; storing each navigational input of the sequence when each navigational input is received; receiving a request to stop recording the sequence of navigational inputs; stopping the recording of the sequence of navigational inputs; receiving an assignment of a trigger to invoke an execution of the recorded sequence of navigational inputs; storing the assignment of the trigger; identifying when the trigger is received or occurs; and executing the recorded sequence of navigational inputs on the user device based on the identifying.
