The present disclosure relates to leveraging machine learning algorithms to help guide users to effortlessly assign the correct protocol for an exam order using a standard protocol library and patient clinical information, and it further automates the scanner protocol selection creating a seamless workflow. This helps to reduce time for protocoling and ensures the right imaging exam is delivered for the patient in an efficient manner. In accordance with certain embodiments, a method includes receiving an order for a medical imaging procedure. The medical imaging procedure corresponds to a patient, in response to receding receiving the order, obtaining medical information stored in an information technology system. The medical information relates to the patient, and automatically generating a medical imaging protocol as a function of the obtained medical information.

Automated protocoling in medical imaging systems

Methods and systems are provided for automated protocol recommendation and selection in a medical imaging system. In one example, a method for the medical imaging system may include receiving an imaging order for an operator requesting an exam be performed on a patient using the medical imaging system, recommending a scan protocol for conducting the exam based on historical selections data for the operator and patient demographic data for the patient, and outputting the recommended scan protocol for display on a display device and/or automatically executing the recommended scan protocol.

Systems and methods for protocol recommendations in medical imaging

Methods and systems are provided for data synchronization. In one example, a method for synchronizing data between an agent and a core includes sending, from the agent, a request to the core identifying a data subset to be synchronized, the request further including a fingerprint for each block of data in the data subset; receiving, at the agent, a response from the core identifying a block of mismatched data between the core and the agent; fetching a fingerprint for each record of the identified block of mismatched data and creating a fingerprint of the block based on the fetched fingerprints; sending, from the agent, a request to the core including the fingerprint of the block; and receiving, at the agent, one or more records from the core identified via a comparison of fingerprints of the one or more records.
