Embodiments of the invention provide a knife gate valve for flow along a flow path. The knife gate valve can include a body structure that includes a gate passage, a gate disposed to move within the gate passage between open and closed positions to selectively open or close a fluid aperture, and a gate seat configured to engage a free end and lateral edges of the gate. A transverse element can be formed from resilient material and can extend laterally across the gate passage to form a seal with a first side of the gate and with the gate seat.

A gate valve can include a gate, a gasket seal, and a first body half that defines a first process fluid aperture. One or more replaceable rings can engage the first body half to secure or support the gasket, the gate, or another replaceable ring.

Embodiments provide a gate valve including a first body half that defines a first process fluid aperture, a first chest portion, and a first chest gate support recess formed in the first chest portion. A second body half defines a second process fluid aperture that is aligned with the first process fluid aperture, a second chest portion, and a second chest gate support recess that is formed in the second chest portion. A gate is movable relative to the first body half and the second body half. A first chest gate support is received within the first chest gate support recess, and a second chest gate support is received within the second chest gate support recess.

Embodiments provide a gate valve including a first body half that defines a first process fluid aperture, a second body half that defines a second process fluid aperture aligned with the first process fluid aperture, a gate that is movable relative to the first body half and the second body, and a first port gate support that is arranged on the first body half and extends into the first process fluid aperture. The first port gate support defines a curved surface that is configured to be in contact with a process fluid.

Embodiments provide a gate valve including a first body half that defines a first process fluid aperture, a first chest portion, and a first gate support recess that is formed in the first chest portion. A second body half defines a second process fluid aperture that is aligned with the first process fluid aperture, a second chest portion, and a second gate support recess that is formed in the second chest portion. A gate is movable relative to the first body half and the second body half, and a gasket seal includes a flange portion, a body portion, and at least one cutout. The flange portion and the body portion are sized to be compressed between the first body half and the second body half, and the at least one cutout provides for volume transformation of the gasket seal under compression.

A gate valve sleeve including a reinforced elastomeric valve sleeve member with an integrally molded reinforcing member disposed therein. In one embodiment, the reinforcing member comprises a pair of parallel spaced ring elements connected by a plurality of spacers. In another embodiment, the reinforcing member comprises first and second ring member abutted to form a T-shape. In a further embodiment, the reinforcing member comprises a ring and a plurality of axially oriented spacer members. In yet a further embodiment, the reinforcing member comprises a pair of ring elements connected by a plurality of pins. The pins are fixed to one of the ring elements and are slidably engageable with the other ring element. In an alternate embodiment, an auxiliary ring member is located within an interior opening of the reinforcing member.

Sleeve seal for gate valves

A gate valve includes a pair of opposing housing members, a gate, primary sealing sleeves and a secondary sealing member. The primary sealing sleeves are disposed in each of the housing members. The gate is configured to slidably pass through a transverse gate chamber defined when the housing members are joined together. The secondary sealing member is secured between the housing members and includes at least one passage or aperture configured to allow lubricating fluid to be applied through at least one of the housing members through the secondary sealing member and onto the gate.

A gate valve has support members that are attached to a main body structure of the gate valve adjacent to the valve gate opening. These support members are affixed on both sides of the valve gate opening radially around a gate sleeve.

A rotary gate valve includes first and second opposing housing members having coaxial pathways and defining a gate channel when joined together. A gate is positioned within the gate channel when the valve is in a closed position to prevent media from flowing through the pathways and rotationally displaced from the channel when the valve is in an open position to allow media to flow through the pathways. First and second annular primary sealing sleeves are disposed within the first and second housing members and are adapted to sealingly engage each other when the valve is in the open position, and with the gate valve when the valve is in the closed position. A secondary sealing member is disposed around an upper portion of the gate and secured between the housing members above the first and second annular primary sealing sleeves to prevent process media from entering the housing members.
