A device, system, and method for sharing information of a selected media modality via communication devices is provided. A device determines a type of a community member associated with an incident, the incident further associated with a first responder. The device determines a plurality of media modalities of information associated with the incident. The device selects, from the plurality of media modalities of the information, a media modality of the information based on the type of the community member. The device causes sharing of the media modality of the information with the community member via one or more of a first responder communication device, associated with the first responder, and a community member communication device, associated with the community member.

Device, system, and method for sharing information of a selected media modality via communication devices

Methods and systems for processing multimedia files associated with an incident. One method includes receiving a request to submit a multimedia file associated with the incident and, in response to receiving the request, transmitting a text message including an identifier of the incident to a communication device. The method also includes receiving, at the answering point, a reply to the text message, the reply including the multimedia file and the identifier, and storing, at the answering point, the multimedia file including using the identifier to link the multimedia file to an incident record for the incident.

Method for processing solicited multimedia files

A method for routing civilian calls to an associated public-safety officer is provided herein. During operation, a call processor receives a civilian call having a target identifier number identifying a target of the call. An incident identifier is then received from the calling party. A current workflow point is determined for the identified incident, and the call is routed to an appropriate person based on the workflow point for the identified incident.

Method and apparatus for handling callback of a public-safety officer

Methods and systems for call queue improvement. One system includes an electronic computing device configured to receive a call from a communication device operated by a caller; analyze the call for an incident factor; and direct the call, based on the incident factor, to either an automated call handler or to an active call queue. The electronic computing device is further configured to assign an existing incident identifier associated with the existing incident to a call record of the call based on determining whether the call is in regard to an existing incident. The electronic computing device is further configured to assign the call record to an abandoned call queue, and display, via a workstation of a call taker, a list of calls included in the abandoned call queue. The list includes the call and an indication whether the existing incident identifier has been assigned to the call record.
