The present disclosure relates to a process for recovering a polyester component and products of a non-polyester component from a fabric containing a polyester blend. The polyester component of the present disclosure is polyethylene terephthalate and the non-polyester component is wool. The process includes hydrolyzing the article using at least one hydrolyzing agent to convert the non-polyester component into products of the non-polyester component and release the polyester component.

The production of butanol by the mutantMTCC 5587 using an acid pretreated biomass such asseed cake,seed cake and banana stems as renewable feedstock. Chemical mutagenesis was carried out for improvement of the strain for better butanol tolerance and production. The disclosure provides methods and systems for the production of biodiesel from biological feedstocks such as vegetable oils or animal fats. In particular, the disclosure is directed to the product of biodiesel from seeds such as non-edible oil seeds. Methods for maximizing oil recovery from the feedstocks are provided, as well as methods to convert free fatty acids in the feedstocks into glycerides amenable to transesterification. Thus the methods and systems provide for efficient biodiesel production.

Integrated process for the preparation of fatty acid methyl ester (biodiesel)

The present invention provides an improved process for the production of gibberellic acid (GA), achieving a yield over 225 g/kg of GAwith solid substrate fermentation, and over 15 g/L by submerged fermentation. The method also provides novel substrates, including the use of Jatropha seed cake. The present invention has in particular provided an improved, cost-effective process for the manufacture of GA, as the process has a surprisingly high yield of product, achieves the maximal yield in shorter time than other techniques, consumes less energy, and works with very inexpensive substrates. In all, the manufacturing costs are significantly reduced.
