An example method includes receiving audio data comprising a spoken word associated with a text source, comparing the audio data with data of the text source, determining, based on the comparing, whether a segment of the audio data corresponds to a location of the text source, and responsive to determining that the segment of the audio data does not correspond to a location of the text source, transmitting a signal indicating that a user has discontinued reading the text source, the signal causing to cease the comparing of the audio data with the data of the text source.

System and method for familiarity-based navigation

Technologies for optimized vehicle parking include a parking management computing device and a number of advanced vehicles, each having an in-vehicle computing system. The parking management computing device establishes a secure control channel with each of the in-vehicle computing systems. Each of the in-vehicle computing systems may send a parking request to park or access the vehicle to the parking management computing device. The parking management computing device queries a number of the advanced vehicles that are already parked for positional or sensor data and determines an optimized parking configuration based on the parking request. The parking management computing device transmits movement requests to the in-vehicle computing systems to implement the optimized parking configuration. Each in-vehicle computing system may perform the movement request by using an autonomous driving capability, by using a remote control capability, or by notifying an operator. Devices, systems, and techniques are provided for customization a vehicle and the interior thereof. The customization can be based at least on customization themes associated with an occupant of the vehicle and/or the vehicle. In addition or in the alternative, the customization can be based at least on vehicular context of the occupants and the vehicle. A specific customization can be effected in response to a change in context of vehicle, and thus the vehicle can be dynamically customized in response to a specific vehicular context as the context is realized. The customization themes can integrate with an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system and/or one or more of in-cabin lighting, projection or other rendering features, or data streams. Customization can be accomplished via configuration of one or more customization components comprising sensors, rendering units, lighting fixtures, or control components.
