The present invention is to a laundry detergent powder comprising: (i) from 20 to 80 wt % of a first particle comprising less than 55 wt % sulphate, anionic detersive surfactant, and having a bulk density of from 300 g/l to 1100 g/l: and (ii) from 20 to 80 wt % of a second particle comprising at least 55 wt % sulphate and, having a bulk density of from 350 g/l to 600 g/l, and a process to making the laundry detergent powder.

Laundry detergent compositions

The present invention relates to a solid laundry detergent composition in particulate form, comprising: (a) anionic detersive surfactant; (b) a calcium-augmented technology; (c) from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of zeolite builder; (d) from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of phosphate builder and (e) optionally, from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of silicate salt.

Solid laundry detergent composition comprising anionic detersive surfactant and calcium-augmented technology

Detergent compositions or components are formulated with certain hydrophobically modified cellulosic materials, which provide protection of fabrics, whereof at least 80% or even at least 90% have a particle size of below 1000 microns or even below 850 or even 710 microns. Selection of materials of this particle size results in improved dispersability of the cellulosic material and imparts improved appearance and integrity benefits to fabrics and textiles laundered in washing solutions from such compositions.
