To determine as precisely as possible the flow rate of a liquid flow inside a tube by means of minimal technical and especially minimal apparatus complexity the invention provides with a procedure and an apparatus to determine it. In this process the liquid is heated by means of an optical heating beam while the point of heating is shown through by an optical detection ray. The axis of the heating- and the detection beam coincide at least in the point of heating. The detection beam is absorbed via an array of detectors. In the apparatus the heating device which heats the interior area of a limited internal area of the liquid and the optical control unit of the laser beam are arranged that way that a measuring beam shines through the absolute heating point.

Method and apparatus to define the velocity of a flowing fluid

The invention proposes a pulsometer () comprising a case () which contains an electronic optical pulse measuring device () and an electronic circuit, a tightening wristband () which holds the back cover of the case () pressed against the wrist (), characterized in that the electronic optical measuring device () includes at least two light sources (E, E, E) and at least two receivers (R, R, R), in that the light sources (E, E, E) and the receivers (R, R, R) are arranged in the form of a matrix comprising two lines (L, L) each oriented along an orthogonal direction to the direction (D) of the wrist (), and at least two columns (C, C, C), oriented parallel to the direction (D) of the wrist (), in that each line (L, L) of the matrix alternately contains a light source (E, E, E) and a receiver (R, R, R), and each column (C, C, C) of the matrix contains a light source (E, E, E) and a receiver (R, R, R). The invention also proposes a control method for this pulsometer ().
