A scalable mine deployment system establishes a close range tactical anti-vehicle obstacle. The scalable mine deployment system includes a deployment pod, a munitions control unit and a remote control station. The deployment pod deploys anti-vehicle munitions in response to a control signal received at the remdte control station and relayed via the munitions control unit. The deployment pods are arranged according to desired field properties and are configured to deploy one or more munitions at a selectable density.

An Ottawa Convention&#x2014;compliant system that replaces the current battlefield utility provided by anti-personnel landmines. This system utilizes obscurants to inhibit and deter the enemy's ability to breach and clear ground based mine and munition systems.

A selective fragmentation pattern of explosive material is applied to a surface of a munition. None, some, or all of the explosive material in the selective fragmentation pattern may be detonated, selectively stamping the surface of the munition with the detonated explosive material. The portion of the selective fragmentation pattern selected for ignition is determined by lethality requirements of a target of the munition. Upon detonation of the munition, fragments are formed based on the selected portion of the selective fragmentation pattern. Consequently, igniting all, some, or none of the selective fragmentation pattern may vary lethality of a munition and one munition may be used for a wide range of lethality.

System and method for explosively stamping a selective fragmentation pattern

A vehicle disabling apparatus may include at least one plunger assembly having a plunger and a toggle operable to pivot inside the vehicle tire. The apparatus may include energetic material disposed adjacent the plunger and configured to force the plunger into a vehicle tire. A method of disabling a vehicle having a tire may include using the vehicle's tire to move the plunger and thereby activate the energetic material; and moving the plunger into the tire using gas produced by the energetic material.

Disabling apparatus for road vehicles

A dynamic barrier system including a number of sensors that monitor a barrier area to determine specific types of objects approaching, within, or exiting the barrier area. Depending upon the type of object(s), the dynamic barrier system initiates an appropriate action, both lethal and non-lethal. The barrier system may advantageously deactivate after its intended period of operation eliminating difficult and/or dangerous removal.

A neck for a stringed musical instrument may include a generally longitudinal center support member with a fingerboard fixed thereto. The center support member may be fixed at one end to a string mounting member and fixed at an opposite end to a body of the stringed musical instrument. A generally longitudinal tension adjustment member may be fixed at one end to the string mounting member and fixed at an opposite end to the body of the stringed musical instrument. The tension adjustment member may be adjustable to vary stress on the neck. A generally longitudinal spatial volume may be located between the center support member and the tension adjustment member. A majority of the spatial volume may comprise ambient air.

A dual purpose munition includes a housing; a shaped warhead disposed in a front interior of the housing; a vertically orienting explosive disposed on a front end of the housing; a safe and arm device explosively connected to the shaped warhead for arming and detonating the shaped warhead; a dual sensor circuit comprising an E-field sensor board, a B-field sensor board and a processor board; and a power source connected to the dual sensor circuit and the safe and arm device.
