A combination gas burner assembly includes a first burner forming a first profile shape and a second burner positioned above the first burner. The second burner forms a second profile shape different from the first profile shape. The first burner and the second burner form a perimeter of the gas burner assembly. The first profile shape overlaps with the second profile shape forming an overlapping portion of the perimeter.

A burner assembly for a cooktop comprises a spreader comprising (i) a central portion through which an axis extends, the central portion with a bottom surface, (ii) a plurality of apertures through the spreader, the plurality of apertures disposed further away from the axis than the central portion, and (iii) a ridge projecting from the bottom surface, the ridge disposed further from the axis than the central portion but closer to the axis than the plurality of apertures.

Burner assemblies for a cooktop

A burner base for a stacked burner assembly to secure a uniform distribution of gas flow. The burner base couples with a top burner cover and together define an internal gas mixture chamber. The burner base includes a barrier structure along a perimeter having a plurality of structural zones. A first structural zone includes a semi-circular barrier structure having a height that is taller at a middle portion than at the end portions. A second structural zone includes an arc structure having a height that is taller than the heights of adjacent structural zone heights. A third structural zone includes a semi-circular structure having a consistent height along the structure. A fourth structural zone includes a non-raised semi-circular structure. The barrier structure is configured to facilitate the distribution of the gas within the mixture chamber.

Burner base

An orifice holder includes a body defining inner wall portions facing each other and spaced apart at a first distance for receiving a portion of a stem of a spreader therebetween. The body further defines a first cup and a second cup, each extending outwardly from opposing sides of the inner wall portions. Each of the first cup and the second cup has a peripheral rim extending around an upper perimeter thereof and open at respective adjacent ends of the inner wall portions to define a fluid path past the peripheral rims, through the respective first and second cups, between the inner wall portions, and into the stem.

Orifice holder

A burner assembly includes a spreader and a burner cap coupled to the spreader. The burner cap includes a sheet metal base bounded by a peripheral lip and a sheet metal top extending over the sheet metal base to define a gap and having a peripheral rim that wraps about at least a portion of the peripheral lip. The sheet metal base defines at least one port configured to allow air to flow into and out of the gap.

A cooking burner includes a spreader defining a first side wall defining an outer profile having first and second extension sections opposed about a first axis. The spreader further defines first and second arced sections, each extending outwardly along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis from and between parallel straight segments of the first and second extension sections, respectively. The spreader further defines a second side wall disposed inwardly of and concentric with the first and second arced sections and a plurality of fuel outlets extending through both the first side wall and the second side wall. A circular inner cap is assembled with an upper portion of the circular inner profile, an annular outer cap is assembled with respective upper portions of the first and second arced sections, and first and second extension caps assembled with respective upper portions of the first and second extension sections.

Burner with multiple sections and control for adaptable use

An orifice holder includes a body that defines an inner chamber and inner wall portions. The inner wall portions each have a first width that is defined relative to the upper portion of the body. A first cup extends outwardly from the inner wall portions. A second cup extends outwardly from the inner wall portions and interconnects with the first cup through the inner wall portions. An airflow path is defined to the inner chamber from the first and second cups.

A gas burner unit for a cooktop includes a spreader having a first side with a plurality of gas outlets and a second side opposite the first side and defining a portion of a fluid path. The spreader further defines a venturi in fluid communication with the gas outlets and extending away from the second side. The gas burner unit further includes an orifice holder having a protrusion defining an upwardly directed primary air inlet therethrough. The upwardly directed primary air inlet is in fluid communication with the fluid path associated with the spreader on a first end thereof and with the venturi on a second end thereof opposite the first end.

Additional primary air access for surface gas burners

A burner unit includes first and second burner assemblies supplied with a gas mixture via first and second valves, respectively. A first valve control assembly controls the first and second valves between open and closed positions. Third and fourth burner assemblies of the burner unit are supplied with a gas mixture via third and fourth valves, respectively. A second valve control assembly controls the third and fourth valves between open and closed positions. The first and second valve control assemblies are separate assemblies that are configured to cooperate to simultaneously provide a gas mixture to the first, second, third and fourth burner assemblies in respective high power settings of the first and second valve control assemblies.

A gas burner unit for a cooktop includes a spreader positioned above a top surface of the cooktop to define a gap therebetween and having a plurality of gas outlets. The gas burner unit further includes a venturi in fluid communication with the gas outlets and an orifice holder having a plurality of protrusions defining a plurality of upwardly directed primary air inlets therethrough. The plurality of upwardly directed primary air inlets are in fluid communication with the gap on respective first ends thereof and with the venturi on respective second ends thereof opposite the first ends.
